Hey, pioneers! The 3.3 version of Honkai: Star Rail's Memory of Chaos "Lupine Moon-Devourer" brings back some very familiar enemies with different battle feelings. With its extremely high HP, you might feel at a loss. Meanwhile, the familiar yet tricky "Hoolay" returns in the second half, testing everyone's team composition and operations. This article will provide a detailed analysis of the enemy mechanics and suitable team compositions to help you easily achieve full-star ratings!
What we have
Buff of Lupine Moon-Devourer: Memory Turbulence
Buff's effect
● As long as the character positioned first in the team casts their Ultimate, both the character and their memosprite will gain a "Memory Imprint" buff for 1 turn, which increases their damage dealt by 40%. This effect is removed after 1 turn, but can be reactivated by casting the Ultimate again. Therefore, this buff is best utilized by characters who can frequently use their Ultimate or those who can attack multiple times within a single turn.
● During the 1-turn duration of the "Memory Imprint" buff, attacking enemies will grant the "Memory Imprint"2 additional attack stacks per hit. These stacks are calculated at the start of the next round and deal multiple instances of fixed ricochet damage to the enemy. This damage is not affected by buffs or debuffs. On Chaos Layer 12, each instance deals around 30,000 damage, so the total can be quite high when fully stacked.
● Since the effect triggers at the start of the round, there's little value in attempting 0-turn clears.
Tip: If the ultimate of the primary DPS in the first slot is used during their own turn, the 40% damage boost can be extended to cover two turns.
Stage 11 Overall
If there's no pressure, you can directly proceed to the guide for Floor 12. The star requirement for Floor 11 isn't high in terms of HP; the issue mostly lies in unfamiliarity with the enemies' mechanics, which often leads to failed runs. Here, I'll briefly discuss and offer some thoughts:
For the first half, Pollux requires us to lower our HP to remove its 90% damage reduction effect. Focus on strategies where character skills can self-inflict damage.
Additionally, when our characters' HP falls below 50%, their damage output also decreases. Since Pollux has HP-draining abilities that ignore shields, it's advisable to bring healing survival characters in the team to ensure maintaining high HP!
For the second half, Sam will first lock weaknesses and only release them on the second turn. This will make the battle rhythm slower when trying to break through.
Additionally, you may consider using high-cost characters that can spend 5 ability points to remove Sam's enhanced state, applying 50% vulnerability in the process.

Stage 12, Node 1
Advantageous Attributes: Quantum > Imaginary > Others.
This attribute advantage is more noticeable in AoE teams than single-target teams, as it allows you to eliminate summoned units simultaneously and gain energy, vulnerability stacks, and other positive effects.
Strategy
- Place your main DPS in Position 1
Place your main DPS in Position 1 to benefit from a 40% environmental damage boost. Then place characters needing energy recharge or survivability
in Positions 2 and 3, as Judgment Vanguard and Moonlit Pegasus will respectively target Position 3 and Position 2 characters, dealing wide-range damage to three targets.
- Eliminate the Swarm
When you eliminate the Swarm's summoned Larvae and Minor Larvae, it deals AoE damage and applies Vulnerability to the enemy group. Each stack of Vulnerability increases damage taken by 10%, up to a maximum of 10 stacks. As the number of stacks increases, the death-triggered damage from defeating summons can scale beyond 100,000, contributing more damage than the environmental effects themselves!

Stage 12, Node 2
Advantageous Attributes:
Physical > Wind > Fire > Others
It is more effective against single-target teams, with no damage wasted—focus as much damage as possible on Thundercaller.
Enemies from the Black Tide series deal extremely high damage, with some of it converted into "Erosion". Our characters can convert this Erosion back into HP through either attacking or healing. When all Erosion is cleared from a character, they gain a "Renewal" effect that boosts the damage of their next attack.
Thundercaller and the Wolf Cub gain 1 stack of "Bloodthirst" with each attack. At 6 stacks, they enter Lunacy mode. At this point, Thundercaller gains 5 stacks of "Rage" above its head. Every time it attacks, it gains 2 more Rage stacks; each of our attacks reduces its Rage by 1 stack. At 8 stacks, Thundercaller acts immediately; if its Rage is reduced to 0, its toughness is greatly decreased.
To avoid a tug-of-war scenario, it's best to save up skills in advance and remove all its Rage stacks in one go.
Strategy
- Bring healer characters to deal with the Erosion mechanic
- Choose teams with high attack frequency or quickly Toughness reduction
Wave 2 is the boss Thundercaller, which has two phases. Its main source of damage comes from powerful ultimates triggered under certain conditions with an additional turn-pushing skill in Phase 2.
In actual combat, teams with high attack frequency or those that can quickly reduce Toughness are most effective. Among them, Robin, who boosts the entire team's action bar, helps reliably trigger the boss's Toughness-based mechanics and is worth prioritizing.
For survival roles, characters like Hyacine, who also possess high-frequency attack abilities, are the most optimal choices.
