Arknights: Endfield's Beta Test II gives players their first extended look at the game's operator roster and combat mechanics. With 23 operators currently available in the beta, LDShop has compiled an Arknights Endfield Operator tier list based on the content available and our experience.

Keep in mind that this is not a definitive ranking as character performance could change dramatically once the full game launches, especially if the developers make major balance adjustments.

Rankings explained

S-Tier

These operators are the strongest units in the current beta, consistently outperforming others in their roles and shaping the meta, making them top priorities for pulling.

A-Tier

A-tier operators are strong, reliable picks that perform excellently in their roles and can often stand in for S-tier units, making them a smart reroll target if you don’t secure a top-tier operator.

B-Tier

These operators are solid but situational picks that excel in specific team comps or content. They lack the versatility of higher tiers, needing more investment to shine and serving best as niche options or backups when stronger units aren’t available.

C-Tier

C-tier operators are generally outclassed by higher-tier options and often struggle to justify a spot in most team compositions.

Explanations: S-Tier

Laevatain

Laevatain

  • Laevatain, a Heat-element Striker who wields a sword. She is considered one of the strongest DPS units in the beta thanks to a kit built around stacking Melting Flame and consistently triggering Combustion and Corrosion, turning every strike into high-amplified AoE damage.
  • Her 300-cost Ultimate is incredibly powerful, turning her basic attacks into auto-firing chain heat lasers that effortlessly erase entire waves with minimal input.
  • Her basic attack chain delivers up to 5 Heat-damage hits with an 18-Stagger Final Strike. Mid-air attacks become Heat dive attacks, and any basic attack used near a staggered enemy becomes a massive Heat DMG that also restores some energies.
  • Her Smouldering Fire summons a Magma Fragment that repeatedly deals Heat DMG and builds Melting Flame stacks. If she has 4 stacks on cast, they are consumed to unleash an extra Heat attack that triggers large-area temporary Combustion and restores additional Ultimate Energy.
  • Her Twilight summons Sviga Lævi and makes her the controlled operator for a duration, during which her basic attacks are enhanced as the weapon strikes alongside her to deal extra Heat DMG, with the third attack in the sequence also applying Heat Infliction.

Ardelia

Ardelia

  • Ardelia is a Nature-element Support who uses an Arts Unit. She functions as a universal corrosion-spreading support with strong healing and powerful damage-boost windows.
  • Ardelia’s Rocky Whispers delivers up to four Nature DMG basic attacks with Final Strike dealing 18 Staggers. Mid-air attacks become Nature dive attacks and any basic attack used near a staggered enemy turns into a powerful Nature finisher that also restores SP.
  • Ardelia’s Dolly Rush charges forward on Mr. Dolly to deal Nature DMG, and if the target has Corrosion, she consumes it to apply both Physical Susceptibility and Arts Susceptibility.
  • Ardelia’s Wooly Party puts her into a mobile channelling state where multiple Mr. Dolly copies are flung in random directions, each dealing Nature DMG with enemies able to be hit once every 0.3 seconds.
  • She does not need precise timing or positioning, just press buttons to spread Corrosion, boost team damage, and keep everyone alive. She fits into every team composition, excelling in both bossing and mobbing across all stages of progression.

Pogranichnik

Pogranichnik

  • Pogranichnik is a Physical-element Vanguard who wields a Greatsword, functioning as an SP-refund vanguard that stacks Breach Vulnerability and provides powerful teamwide buffs.
  • His All-Out Offensive delivers up to 5 Physical DMG attacks with an 18-Stagger Final Strike. Mid-air attacks become Physical dive attacks and any basic attack used near a staggered enemy becomes a powerful Physical finisher that also restores SP.
  • The Pulverizing Front unleashes two forward slashes that deal Physical DMG, apply Breach, and consume Vulnerable stacks to restore SP once per cast, regardless of how many enemies are hit.
  • Pogranichnik’s Shieldguard Banner summons four Shieldguards that rush the enemy, deal Physical DMG, build Steel Oath, and auto-follow with extra hits that refund SP when his combos trigger Physical effects.

Explanations: A-Tier

Endministrator

Endministrator

  • Endministrator is a Physical-element Guard who wields a Sword. She provides steady physical burst through Crush and Crystal mechanics and fits naturally into most physical teams.
  • Her Basic Attack is a 5-hit Physical combo with Final Strike adding 18 Stagger when controlled. Mid-air attacks become a dive that hits nearby enemies, and striking a Staggered foe turns the attack into a powerful finisher that deals heavy Physical DMG and restores SP.
  • Her Battle Skill, Constructive Sequence, unleashes a forceful Originium Arts burst that hits all enemies in the area, dealing Physical DMG and applying Crush.
  • Her Ultimate, Bombardment Sequence, deals massive Physical DMG, and consumes any Originium Crystals on enemies to deliver an additional hit.
  • She lacks the flexibility and high-impact power spikes needed to compete with universally strong S-tier supports.

Ember

Ember

  • Ember is a Heat-element Defender who wields a Greatsword. She functions as a stable Heat tank that brings reliable shielding, stagger pressure, and strong team protection.
  • Her Sword Art of Assault is a 4-hit Physical basic attack that ends with a 25-Stagger strike when she’s the controlled operator.
  • The Forward March is a leaping slam that deals Heat DMG, inflicts Knock Down and Stagger in a fan-shaped area, and gains extra Stagger if she’s damaged during the cast.
  • Her Re-Ignited Oath slams the ground to deal Heat DMG to nearby enemies and grants all teammates a Shield based on her Max HP which costs 100 Ultimate Energy.
  • Ember offers a strong AoE ultimate shield, but its limitations make it less universally clutch than Snowshine’s heals, and while she fits Heat or balanced teams well, she lacks the universal utility that makes S-tier tanks easily splashable.

Lifeng

Lifeng

  • Lifeng is a Physical-element Guard who fights with a Polearm. He delivers teamwide damage amplification while providing consistent susceptibility, knockdowns, and reliable physical support.
  • His Basic Attack, Ruination, delivers up to 4 Physical DMG strikes, with the Final Strike adding 19 Stagger when he is the controlled operator.
  • Lifeng’s Battle Skill, Turbid Avatar, unleashes two polearm strikes followed by a ground-slam that deals Physical DMG and Knock Down.
  • His Ultimate, Heart of the Unmoving, summons an Immovable Vajra that slams the ground to deal Physical DMG and Knock Down in a large area, pulling enemies to the center, then delivering a second massive slam. If a Link is consumed, it inflicts even more massive Physical DMG.
  • He offers strong but non-meta-defining hybrid utility and his impact drops in reaction-focused or Heat comps.

Conclusion

To wrap up, beginners should start with one main DPS (Laevatain or Last Rite), one top support (Ardelia or Antal), and one defender (Snowshine or Ember), then expand into matching elemental synergies. After the official launch of Arknights Enfield, we will run full post-release testing before publishing an update on tier list.
