Ichigo Kurosaki-Bankai(SSR):

A cornerstone of high-level teams since the beta, he remains a top-tier damage unit. As the game's first limited character, his damage output is exceptional. He utilizes fast combos and Getsuga Marks for relentless pressure and mobility. His true power unlocks in Hollowfication Mode via his Ultimate, granting new skills, a damage boost, and automatic counterattacks.

Kisuke Urahara(SSR):

The premier support since launch, consistently defining the top-tier utility role. His Reishi Analysis passive stacks easily, providing the team with a significant, stackable Attack boost. His Ultimate grants a massive team-wide Critical Damage bonus. He improves any team composition instantly with his universal buffs, though his personal damage is secondary.

Toshiro Hitsugaya(SSR):

A newly released top-tier DPS who dramatically raises the damage ceiling for Spirit teams, effectively serving as an environmental "savior." While unlocking his complete potential benefits from his exclusive Weapon Card, his formidable power is undeniable. He excels at crowd control by constantly applying Freeze Points with his attacks, often immobilizing enemies. He synergizes exceptionally well with the SR unit Rukia Kuchiki, making his optimal team setup more accessible. As the game's premier primary Spirit Damage dealer, he holds a significant advantage in relevant content. His Bankai state has excellent uptime, empowering all abilities and allowing him to hover above the battlefield. While in this state, he gains access to Hyoten Hyakkaso, an immensely powerful skill further amplified by his Ice Blossom passive, making it one of the highest-damaging abilities in the game.

 

S Tier: Powerhouse Units & Key Components

These characters possess immense strength or irreplaceable strategic value, serving as pillars for any team.

Byakuya Kuchiki (SSR):

One of the best "Battlefield Skill" users, crucial for Mono teams. He enables a unique playstyle that encourages frequent character switching, as he remains on-field to finish his skills while you control another unit. His Battlefield Skill deals substantial off-field damage, making him an excellent secondary damage dealer.

Kaname Tosen (SSR):

A top "Battlefield Skill" user who provides massive bonuses to Mono teams. He is a versatile, high-mobility character who can serve as a main damage dealer but excels when paired with Thrust units to utilize his Co-strike for off-field damage. He applies a stacking Wound effect for damage over time and skill empowerment, and his ultimate resets his cooldowns for seamless skill rotation.

Rukia Kuchiki (SR):

An excellent Battlefield Skill provider for Spirit teams, a role that has become prominent as the Spirit team ecosystem matured. She is a very good support offering crowd control through freezes and decent area-of-effect damage, thanks to her great and flexible Battlefield Skill. While she works nicely with various characters, her position may drop when the new character Eizen is released.

Yoruichi Shihoin (SSR):

The premier DPS for Strike attribute teams and the top-priority damage choice when forming a Strike team. She boasts an extremely fast combat rhythm with lightning-fast attack combos that easily build Spiritual Pressure and overwhelm enemies. At max Spiritual Pressure, she unleashes Thundercrush for high damage and knock-up. Her ultimate deals high damage and activates Shunko Form, further increasing her attack and speed.

Ikkaku Madarame (SSR):

The current ace DPS for the Thrust attribute, dominant in the present version with outstanding damage potential. He excels at clearing groups with amazing area-of-effect damage and applies the Wound effect, synergizing perfectly with Kaname Tosen. His ultimate activates a Bankai form, significantly boosting attack and range while unlocking a boss-melting finishing move. His long-term standing may shift following the release of the new character Gin.

 

A Tier: Reliable Staples & High-Value Picks

Units with excellent capabilities or special functions, forming stable components of a team.

Sajin Komamura (SSR):

A support character who acts as a reliable "safety net" by providing strong shields that protect himself and carry over to allies switching in. His Battlefield Skill costs no energy, triggered by combo finishers or Technique usage, pairing well with fast attackers like Yoruichi. While his personal damage is lower than expected, he effectively increases the team's survivability.

Yachiru Kusajishi (SR):

A very good support character who specializes in buffing the attack of Slash Damage characters, functioning as a more focused SR version of Kisuke Urahara. She works perfectly in synergy with the top damage dealer, Ichigo Kurosaki-Bankai.

Momo Hinamori (SR):

A freely obtainable, high-value support who broadens team-building options. Her Insight passive grants stacking attack bonuses and boosts team Spirit Damage, making her a great free-to-play option for Toshiro. However, her full potential is best realized in Spirit teams, and she faces strong competition from top-tier supports like Kisuke Urahara.

Uryu Ishida (SR):

The best SR damage option, providing consistent long-range damage and high-multiplier area-of-effect skills, making him an excellent recipient of buffs and Co-strike user. Additionally, he serves as a universal Battlefield Skill user, providing a team buff (though at about half the strength of Mono-specific characters) and acts as a decent filler when lacking a dedicated attribute-specific support.

 

B Tier: Situational Picks

Decent performers under specific conditions or during transition periods, but with clear limitations.

Ichigo Kurosaki-Shikai (SR):

A decent damage dealer who focuses on building up Spiritual Pressure to enhance his skills. However, his main drawback is a lack of off-field presence, and he can be easily replaced by more impactful units despite being usable as a main damage dealer.

Renji Abarai (SR):

Possesses Damage Over Time (DOT) capabilities and strong burst area-of-effect damage for clearing groups, serving as an alternative when lacking top-tier Thrust DPS. However, his sustained damage is lacking, he is easily outclassed by SSR units, and with more potent DOT characters upcoming, his investment priority is relatively low.

 

C Tier: Marginalized Characters

Characters with weak competitiveness in the current version or who have been overshadowed by superior alternatives.

Nemu Kurotsuchi (SR):

A low-rarity support whose assisting capabilities are currently weak, making her uncompetitive among support units. While she can buff allies' attack and serve as a decent early-game option, there is little reason to use her over alternatives like Yachiru Kusajishi. Priority resource investment is not recommended.

Orihime Inoue (SR):

A universal healer and defensive support who provides shielding and healing. However, as the game progresses and more options become available, her usage has significantly diminished. The current meta lacks a dedicated spot for a pure healer, making her primarily a consideration only when healing support is severely lacking.

Ichigo Kurosaki-Initial (SR):

As the initial version of the protagonist obtained at the start of the game, this unit, unfortunately, does not stand out as a powerful starter character. His overall performance is lacking, making him not recommended for any serious resource investment.

 

D Tier: Not Recommended for Investment

Characters lacking sufficient strength in the current environment. It is not advisable to spend valuable resources on them.

Ururu Tsumugiya (SR):

A character with a fun and unique ranged playstyle who can be decent for early game progression. However, her damage output is very lackluster and does not stand up to other dedicated DPS units.

Yasutora Sado-Chad (SR):

A tanky unit with visually impressive animations and ultimate. However, he deals little to no damage and provides no significant utility to the team. Consequently, his overall performance lags behind, offering no competitive advantage.
