Evony’s Halloween events have a reputation for being a mixed bag. Some years lean heavily into cosmetic charm; others bury the good stuff behind a paywall so steep it feels like a trick rather than a treat. The 2026 edition, which kicked off on October 23rd, sits somewhere in the middle—but with a few genuinely notable additions that make it worth logging in for, even if you never spend a dime.
This guide breaks down what’s actually available, what it costs (in time or coin), and which rewards deserve your attention.

The Headline Act: Constantine XI Arrives
Every Evony event needs a marquee general, and this Halloween’s is Constantine XI, a European Mounted general with a stat line clearly built for aggressive PvP rather than garrison duty.

His special skill, The Last Emperor’s Glory, delivers a straightforward but potent package: when leading an army to attack, Mounted Troop Attack and Defense increase by 65%, while Mounted Troop HP rises by 50%. That is not a subtle buff. For players who have invested heavily in cavalry research and gear, Constantine XI slots in as a direct upgrade or a strong secondary march general.
His ascension path reinforces the mounted focus. The first red star adds Attacking Mounted Defense and HP (+15%), the third pushes Attacking Mounted Attack and Defense (+30%), and the fifth—the awakening—grants another +40% to Mounted Attack and Defense alongside a +12% March Size Capacity bonus. That last stat is the real prize. March size is one of the hardest caps to raise in Evony, and any general who offers it for free (or near-free) is worth a second look.
Acquisition is the usual gacha affair. Constantine XI is available through the Historic General Summoning Event, specifically the fifth-tier Event Package, with a guaranteed reward every six summons. Translation: you can get him without spending, but you will need to have saved summoning materials or be prepared to coin.
Camazotz: The First Triple-Debuff Spirit Beast

Spirit Beasts have followed a fairly predictable pattern for years. Camazotz, the new Halloween bat Spirit Beast, breaks it—not dramatically, but noticeably.
Camazotz is the first Spirit Beast in the game to carry three debuffs on its base skill set. The specifics matter here. The first is Enemy Ground Troop Attack, which is broadly useful. The second and third, however, only trigger when defending the main city: Enemy Mounted Troop Defense and Enemy Mounted Troop HP. That conditional clause is important. If you are an aggressive player who rarely gets hit, two-thirds of Camazotz’s value evaporates.
The seals tell a more consistent story. Attacking Mounted Attack, Ranged Defense, Siege HP, Ground HP, and In-City Ground Defense are all unconditional—they apply in every situation. For players who already have a stable of Spirit Beasts and nowhere to put a new one, the seal bonuses alone might justify the purchase.
The cost is the sticking point. Camazotz requires 1,600 Spirit Beast Scales, double the standard 800. If you are already struggling to find sub-city slots for existing beasts (and most veteran players are), this is a hard sell unless you have a clear replacement target in mind.
The Pumpkin Hunt: Familiar Ground

Pumpkin Monsters are back on the world map, spawning at levels 1 through 6 (and likely beyond on mature servers). They function as event bosses: rally them, kill them, collect the loot.
A Level 5 Pumpkin Monster, for reference, carries 53.6 million power and is classified as a hard event boss. The recommended approach is standard Evony doctrine—mounted troops, a strong mounted general, mounted gear and refines. The drops include Gear Chests (random Lv1 Monarch Gear), Lv5 Candy (random item), and Lv11 Boss Monster Chests, which can contain rare materials, speedups, and scrolls.
This is the low-stakes, everyone-can-participate part of the event. If you do nothing else, spend your stamina here.
Free-to-Play Champions: Judith and Cassandra Return
Two older champions have rotated back into availability through Ariadne’s Journey, and both are obtainable without spending coin.
Judith costs 400 Champion Tokens. Her kit is siege-oriented: In-City Troop Defense, Archer Tower Attack, Enemy Siege Machine Defense debuff, and In-City Siege Machine Defense. She has a reputation as one of the weaker champions in the game, but “weak” is relative. If you are building a siege defense or simply collecting champions for the passive bonuses they provide even when not deployed, 400 tokens is a reasonable price.
Cassandra also costs 400 tokens. Her value is more immediate: her first unlock grants a-4% Enemy Ground and Mounted Troop Defense debuff, and her later levels push that to-25%. Debuffs of that magnitude are rare on free champions. If you have the tokens, Cassandra is the clearer priority of the two.
Cleopatra VII is also available in the same shop for 1,000 tokens, but unless you are swimming in currency, the two-for-one deal on Judith and Cassandra is the smarter play.
Revelry Carnival: The Paid Tier
The Revelry Carnival returns with its usual mix of expensive cosmetics and high-tier generals. The standout free-adjacent item is Nefertiti, available for 180 brooches. A triple-down pack puts her at roughly $100—cheaper than her original release, but still firmly in whale territory.
Demetrius (Siege PvP general) and Princess Kaguya (Ranged) are also present, along with various skins and chests. Kaguya in particular has become something of a recurring cash-grab; she is excellent for ranged players, but the price of entry has not dropped meaningfully in years.
For free-to-play players, this section is largely a window-shopping experience. Note what is there, budget for it if you must, and move on.
Wheel of Dragon War: A Daily Spin
The Wheel of Dragon War is back with a daily free spin. The odds of pulling a dragon for free are, as always, astronomical. But a free spin costs nothing, and the other rewards (speedups, resources, materials) are not worthless. Spin it every day. Do not expect a miracle.
The Verdict: What to Prioritize
If you have limited time and resources, the 2026 Halloween event rewards a focused approach:
- Do first: Pumpkin rallies for steady loot and experience. The daily Wheel spin for whatever it gives. Ariadne’s Journey for Cassandra (400 tokens), then Judith if you have leftovers.
- Consider carefully: Constantine XI if you are a mounted main and have summoning materials saved. Camazotz only if you have a clear replacement target and 1,600 scales burning a hole in your inventory.
- Skip unless committed: Revelry Carnival purchases, Nefertiti, and any dragon-related gambling beyond the free spin.
Evony’s Halloween events rarely reinvent the wheel, and 2026 is no exception. But Constantine XI is a legitimate mounted option, Cassandra is a surprisingly strong free debuff champion, and the pumpkins are always there for you. That is more than can be said for some years.
