At long last, we finally have a team that truly connects two systems. This guide breaks down the Durin and Flins hybrid core, combining Lunar-Charged reaction and Hexerei Buffs into a single high-performing setup. Their synergy is exceptional, giving the team strong buff uptime, burst damage, and sustained DPS, making it one of the most competitive scaling lineups this version. Buy the way, here are the build guides I wrote before for Flins and Durin, if needed, you can click the link below to check it out :

Characters

Tier Rating and brief introduction

Flins

Flins

Flins is the top on-field DPS for Lunar-Charged reactions, using stable rotations but needing steady Energy for his Special Burst. Despite his reaction-locked teams, he remains F2P-friendly, since he only requires a Nod-Krai unit and a Hydro applier role that the free character Aino can fully cover.

Fischl

Fischl

The Hexerei Buffs make her damage output stronger than ever. Oz’s rapid attacks provide frequent Electro application, enabling a wide range of Electro-related reactions with ease. Her Elemental Burst also resets her Skill cooldown. Thanks to her ascension passive, she serves as an effective Electro battery, and she remains simple to build and performs reliably even with low investment.

Durin

Durin

Durin is a highly flexible off-field support DPS who fits into most teams and needs minimal Energy Recharge. He boosts many older non–Nod-Krai characters and is future-proofed to support new ones as well.

Aino

Aino

Aino is a low-investment, F2P Hydro support with simple rotations and a low Burst cost, making her useful for Nod-Krai teams and others who can use her easy Hydro application. While her constellations provide strong Lunar-charged reaction buffs, her personal damage is weak.

Team Overview

Double-Electros mandatory for Flins

A team with two Electro characters is practically mandatory for Flins considering his Energy-reliant feature for his Special Elemental Burst and steady energy generation. While he can create Lunar-charged by himself, player will also need synergistic Nod-Krai characters that can activate the rest of his kit through Ineffa or Aino. He also benefits from Polearm weapons that either improve Elemental Burst or Lunar-Charged damage.

Hexerei: Secret Rite Buffs

Additional Talent about Durin

The new version introduces the Hexerei: Secret Rite Buffs, and both Durin and the Fischl belong to this category ( Here's an previous introduction article about seven characters who have their Hexerei buffs in  and how do they work: witch work characters), meaning key talents being activated when two Hexerei characters are present. When your party includes two Hexerei characters, the respective characters' kits will receive extra effects on their combat abilities and generally enhances the party's capabilities.

Durin provides a valuable 35% Electro RES Shred and offers Pyro forwarding and solid off-field sub-DPS. Sucrose may appear stronger with Viridescent Venerer due to this artifact’s nearly permanent uptime in the hands of Sucrose. 4-PC of VV can increase Swirl DMG by 60% while decrease opponent’s Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s. In contrast, Flins’s triple mini-Burst variants cannot benefit from VV’s RES shred, EM bonus or any Pyro-forwarding the set lacks.

Why this team is special?

Overloaded and Lunar-Charged reaction at the same time

Fischl brings a powerful talent to the team: when nearby allies trigger Overloaded, she grants a 22.5% ATK boost, and Lunar-Charged or Electro-Charged reactions add another 90 EM. At Fischl’s C6, these bonuses double to an impressive 45% ATK and 180 EM. Most teams can only take advantage of one type of reaction bonus, but this composition triggers both Overloaded and Lunar-Charged reactions, allowing the team to benefit from both effects simultaneously to form a rare and valuable synergy.

Fischl

Providing complete support to Flins

Flins contributes the majority of the team’s total DPS, so he needs a good scale of ATK buffs. Players need to prioritize meeting his Energy Requirements up until 140% to reliably use his Special Elemental Burst in his rotations.

In this team, Fischl can carry 4-PC of Tenacity of the Millelith set, adding a teamwide 20% ATK that also benefits Durin, who ideally wants around 2,500 ATK to fully capitalize on his independent multiplier. Altogether, Fischl provides roughly 65% ATK, 180 EM, steady elemental particle generation for Flins, and additional sub-DPS through her Oz-like summon, delivering an exceptionally complete support package.

Durin’s Constellations and other mostly relevant factors

Durin’s early constellations, i.e. his C1 and C2 bonus damage, as well as the C6 DEF shred tied to Lunar-Charged, offering little meaningful benefit to Flins, making C0 Durin essentially the “complete” version for this team. His signature weapon, Athame Artis, remains extremely valuable, and the Double Electro setup adds another 28% ATK. Freedom-Sworn is also a strong alternative. Meanwhile, Fischl ideally runs Elegy for the End, which stabilizes energy requirements while providing teamwide ATK and EM, rounding out the composition’s buffs exceptionally well.

Durin's Constellation

Buff Breakdown- a practical example

If we start the game with Flins having 2,690 ATK and 240 EM, and this team stacks his stats impressively. From Fischl’s C6 talent he gains 180 EM, while Aino contributes another 120 EM through the Silken Moon’s Serenade and 80 EM at C1, bringing Flins’ total bonus to 380 EM for a final value of around 620 EM.

On the ATK side, Fischl provides 65% ATK through Tenacity of the Millelith, Durin adds 20% via Noblesse Oblige, and Durin’s weapon contributes another 28%, totalling 113% ATK. Applied to Flins’s 1,026 base ATK, this grants roughly 1,159 additional ATK, pushing his final stat beyond 3,800. All these buffs are reliably active during real combat.

Main Weakness: Survivability

If the upcoming Columbina’s ascension, talent and weapon offer reliable defensive capabilities, this team could even outperform Ineffa and Sucrose variations. If not, Ineffa will still feel safer to play. That said, with clean execution the team can function without dedicated survivability. By the way, if you need Columbina's guide here it is : Columbina materials

Columbina

The real concern is whether Durin’s Pyro application every 2s disrupts Flins’s second Lunar-Charged Electro trigger. After conducting a combat testing, it is confirmed this does not happen:

  • With the rotation of Durin Q-E-E into White Form, Aino EQ, Fischl summoning Oz, and Flins executing her full E-E-Q sequence, the team consistently deals around 600k damage with full buff uptime.
  • Flins at C1 lands all three EQ casts, Fischl contributes steady sub-DPS, Durin’s hits consistently, and no Pyro interference disrupts Lunar-Charged reaction.
  • If Columbina can also act as a sub-DPS, this composition becomes absurdly strong. If not, running Prototype Amber for emergency healing remains a viable alternative.

Conclusion

In short, the Durin and Flins core delivers one of the most coherent and high-scaling hybrid teams of the current version. Their synergy between Lunar-Charged Electro and the Hexerei creates exceptional buff uptime, smooth reactions, and impressive damage across all phases of combat.
