Genshin 6.2 ‘Luna III’ Banners: Durin & Jahoda Debut, Venti Rerun!

Hey, Travelers, Genshin 6.2 banner, dubbed Luna III, is finally on the horizon! The spotlight’s on Durin, the long-teased dragon reborn in human form, stepping in as a powerful new 5-star Pyro unit. Jahoda, an Anemo 4-star support will debut in the first half. Varesa, Xilonen, and Venti will rerun in this version.

Alongside them, a lot of old characters getting buffed for the brand new Magic: Secret Rite mechanic. Now let’s see what’s new in this version!

Phase 1: Durin

Rarity: 5-star | Element: Pyro | Weapon: Sword

Durin is a 5-star Pyro sub-DPS from Mondstadt. He wields a sword, scales on attack, and has a crit damage ascension bonus. Durin is a character who is primarily going to be played as an off-field damage dealer, but he can also be used to buff your team's damage or increase his own damage under certain conditions.

His core mechanic revolves around the dual-form and his strength ties to Hexenzirkel. His overall damage output and team buff ability will get stronger when you pair him with Hexenzirkel members and trigger Magic: Secret Rite.

Phase 1: Jahoda

Rarity: 4-star | Element: Anemo | Weapon: Bow

Jahoda is a 4-star Anemo Bow character from Nod-Krai who counts for Moon Sign. However, she does not introduce a new Lunar reaction. She needs Ascendant Gleam for her kit to function as a support. Her main role is to provide off-field elemental application for the element she infuses with Skill / Burst.

Using Jahoda’s Skill, she will dash and run around. During this time, any nearby enemy is affected by Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cyro, she will gradually store that element into her flask. Once the flask is full, if you have Ascendant Gleam, then the flask will fire attacks of the infused element every 2 seconds for 20 seconds, applying that element with every hit and also periodically giving extra energy for Jahoda. 

 

Rerun Characters

Phase 1: Venti

I still bring Venti for anything that wants clean crowd control: he’s an Anemo bow support whose Burst groups enemies into a huge vortex and spreads elements via Swirl, making him the queen of AoE staging and reaction setups. Build him either as energy-economy support or a Swirl/EM reaction enabler (and pair with Viridescent Venerer for RES shred), and he’ll turbocharge farming, Abyss floors, and multi-enemy bosses. He’s less flashy than new meta picks but remains a perennial staple for wide-area content and exploration — expect him to keep showing up in clears where grouping matters.

 

Phase 2: Varesa

Varesa stands out as one of Genshin Impact's most stylish and mechanically distinct Electro catalysts, a fast, airborne fighter built entirely around her plunging attack combat style. Her Skill lets her dash forward and ascend into the air, entering a Nightsoul state that turns every plunge into a sweeping burst of Electro damage. With her Burst amplifying those attacks and shredding enemy resistance, her rotations flow smoothly between graceful movement and raw power.

She isn't a plug-and-play sub-DPS, but a true on-field Electro carry who rewards timing and precision. In the right setups, especially with buffers like Furina or Iansan, she delivers consistent AoE damage, rapid Electro application, and one of the most fluid combat loops in the current meta.

Phase 2: Xilonen

Xilonen emerges as one of Genshin Impact's most dynamic Geo characters, a polearm unit built around charged attacks and defensive conversions that turn her shields into offense. Her Skill creates a sturdy barrier while storing Geo energy, and her Burst releases that stored power in a sweeping shockwave that both protects and punishes. When played correctly, she delivers that rare mix of tankiness and flow, a defender who never stops attacking.

In Version 6.2, 7 old characters are getting buffs, including Klee, Albedo, Mona, Sucrose, Fischl, Razor, and Venti, who’s also rerun in 6.2 banner. All of these units are members of the Hexenzirkel, along with Durin, and their upgrades are tied to this status.

After completing the new Witch’s Work quest, their kits and constellations receive buffs. However, these buffs only activate when you have at least 2 Hexenzirkel members in the same team, so make sure to pair them together to unlock their full potential.
