From October 29 to November 19, you can select one of three Pilgrims: Cinderella, Grave, or Nayuta. You can change your target at any time, and there are free daily pulls, but there is an important catch: The recruitment has a 1% rate, and free attempts do not carry over as pity. If you have already secured Marian: Queen and Scarlet: Goddeath, you may want to consider this selective recruitment banner.

Here is how Cinderella, Grave, and Nayuta compare, and which one makes the most sense for your roster.

NIKKE fourth anniversary Pilgrim Selective Recruitment featuring Cinderella Grave and Nayuta

Cinderella

NIKKE Cinderella character overview

Strength Overview

Cinderella is a B3 Electric Defender with a Rocket Launcher, which sounds like a contradiction until you watch her delete a Solo Raid boss. She is one of the strongest options for single-target boss damage. Her Burst Skill hits for 1365.92% ATK across 10 sequential strikes, and each strike gets an additional 28.9% ATK per Beauty stack. At maximum stacks, that means 1365.92% + 28.9% × 12 per hit, ten times over. In some bossing setups, she can outperform Scarlet: Black Shadow and Alice, while using a different support setup that does not compete with your existing bossing cores.

The limitation is her focus on single targets. Cinderella's basic attacks have little splash damage, and her Burst can spread its sequential strikes across multiple enemies. That can be frustrating in Campaign stages crowded with weaker Raptures, where you would rather focus damage on an elite target. She performs well in low-deficit Campaign stages, but high-deficit stages are harder unless the enemies are weak to Electric and her Overload Gear is strong enough to secure quick kills.

PvP is a different story. Cinderella can threaten an entire enemy team with her Burst even without a dedicated buffer. As a Defender, she avoids Rosanna's Attacker-targeting nuke, while her HP-to-ATK conversion during Full Burst makes it difficult for Rosanna to dispel. The delay between sequential Burst hits can give defenders such as Noah or Blanc time to respond, so timing still matters.

Pull Verdict

Prioritize Cinderella if you care about Solo Raid, Union Raid, or Anomaly Interception. Her single-target damage is particularly useful against Electric-weak bosses such as Mirror Container and Crystal Chamber.

Consider skipping her if you are a new or mid-game player focused mainly on Campaign progress. She is less reliable in neutral-element, high-deficit stages than versatile damage dealers such as Red Hood, Modernia, or Scarlet: Black Shadow.

Dupes are worth considering if you are competitive in Solo Raid; her personal damage scales with base ATK, and the CP padding helps in Pilgrim Tower. But one copy is sufficient for most players.

Grave

NIKKE Grave character overview

Strength Overview

Grave is a B2 Fire Supporter with an Assault Rifle, and she is the closest thing this game has to a "support that also does damage" without being a meme. Her Burst Skill grants the entire team 48.2% ATK DMG, 39.98% Pierce DMG, and +3 Max Ammo for 10 seconds, while giving herself unlimited ammo, guaranteed Pierce, and 85.19% Crit Rate. This gives her a very high Critical Rate without additional investment. Those teamwide numbers are higher than Mari's, and Grave does not stop there: her S1 gives the team Burst Gauge filling speed +38.96% and Pierce DMG +48.4% during her "Heat Emission" reload downtime.

In practice, Grave can help a team reach 14 Full Bursts in three minutes instead of the usual 13, while dealing respectable damage herself. She works especially well with Asuka, Alice, Red Hood, Snow White, and Maxwell, who benefit from her Pierce buffs or can help increase her damage.

The trade-off is survivability. Grave has no healing, shield, or damage reduction. In Campaign, a few heavy hits can take her down quickly. She is a "do not get hit" unit, which makes her harder to use than Crown or Naga in messy stages.

Pull Verdict

Prioritize Grave if you lack Crown or regularly use Pierce DPS teams. Her buffs and personal damage can make her especially valuable in Fire-weak content.

Consider skipping Grave if you already have Crown and do not invest in Pierce teams. Crown is a more universal Burst II option, while Grave shines alongside attackers such as Asuka, Alice, and Red Hood.

Dupes are unnecessary. Her support buffs do not scale with the caster's ATK, so a single copy gives you the full teamwide value. Save your Gems.

Nayuta

NIKKE Nayuta character overview

Strength Overview

Nayuta is a B2 Wind Supporter with an SMG, and she is one of the closest alternatives to Crown for players who also need healing. Her S1 triggers every three seconds through her S2 stacks, granting the team +25.15% Core Damage, +30.16% of the caster's ATK, and shared HP recovery. Because the trigger interval is shorter than the buff duration, these effects can maintain high uptime as long as she survives.

Her Burst grants the team +35.45% ATK DMG for 15 seconds and transforms her weapon into an infinite-ammo Sniper Rifle that fires approximately 587.5% ATK shots every 1.8 seconds. Her S1 also adds 150% screen-wide damage and 380.46% extra damage to stage targets on every full charge. This gives Nayuta impressive personal damage while supporting her teammates with healing, ATK buffs, and Core Damage buffs.

Her Core Damage self-buff takes 93 seconds to reach the 30-stack threshold, making it more useful in longer boss fights than short Campaign stages. Against non-Wind bosses without cores, she may also lose some value compared with Crown or Grave, depending on whether your team needs Pierce damage or faster Burst generation.

When you need healing without using a separate Burst II slot for a dedicated healer, Nayuta can give your team more room for an additional DPS or buffer.

Pull Verdict

Prioritize Nayuta if you lack Crown or want a Burst II unit that combines healing, ATK buffs, Core Damage buffs, and wave clearing. She can fit many teams as the sole Burst II and also works alongside Crown or Mast: Romantic Maid.

Consider skipping her if you already have Crown and Mast: Romantic Maid and do not care about Wind-weak Solo Raid. That duo may still perform better in some general-purpose setups, while Nayuta is particularly attractive when Wind damage or healing is needed.

One copy is enough for most players. Her support buffs scale with the caster's ATK, so dupes do increase her teamwide ATK contribution, but the gain is relatively small unless you are chasing top Solo Raid scores. Do not chase MLB unless you are a competitive spender.

Who Should You Choose?

If you can only pick one from this selector, the decision comes down to what your account is missing. You can also check our NIKKE character tier list and team guide for a broader look at character rankings and team compositions.

1. Cinderella: Best for Endgame Bossing. She offers the highest single-target damage potential among these three in suitable boss encounters. If you are struggling with Electric-weak content or need a powerful bossing DPS, Cinderella is a strong pick. Her value is more limited in high-deficit Campaign stages with multiple enemies.

2. Nayuta: Best Flexible Burst II Support. If you lack Crown or need a Burst II who can heal, buff ATK and Core Damage, clear smaller enemies, and contribute meaningful damage, Nayuta is an excellent choice. She is particularly effective against Wind-weak bosses and is generally easier to fit into different teams.

3. Grave: Best for Pierce Teams. If you already have Crown and regularly use Pierce DPS characters, Grave is worth considering. She offers stronger Pierce support than Mari in suitable teams and can enable faster Full Burst rotations. However, without characters such as Asuka, Alice, or Red Hood, much of her value may go unused.

Final Thoughts

Cinderella is the high-damage pick for endgame bossing, Nayuta is a flexible Burst II option for teams needing support and healing, and Grave is an excellent Pierce enabler. Choose the Pilgrim who fills the biggest gap in your roster, and treat free recruits as a bonus rather than guaranteed progress.
