General Introduction
Citlali is a 5* Limited Cryo character from the region of Natlan, she wields a catalyst as her main choice of weapon and specializes in both improving the entire team’s survivability with her shield ability as well as enabling different Cryo related elemental reactions even when she is off-field.
Due to being a Natlan character, Citlali also has access to the region’s special Nightsoul mechanic, allowing her to accumulate Nightsoul points and enter the Nightsoul state when her gauge is filled in combat.

Skill Kit & Leveling Priorities
Citlali Skill kit revolves around protecting the active character while also providing the Cyro mark for Elemental reactions by dealing Cryo damage to enemies even when Citlali herself is not on the field.
Citlali’s skill grants the active character a very hefty Cryo shield to protect allies and periodically apply Cryo surrounding enemies by summoning Itzpapa to periodically attack surrounding enemies with Cryo damage. When the shield is active, it will absorb Cryo more efficiently and grant Citlali NIghtsoul points.
Her elemental burst allows her to summon familiars to aid the active character in battle, applying the Cryo mark on them for easier elemental reactions. The more enemies are on the field, the more familiars she will summon, up to 3 instances of the familiar. After a set amount of time, these familiars will explode, dealing Cryo damage to the enemies and apply the Cryo Mark on them.
As a sustain and support character that enables different elemental reactions, players should level up Citlali’s Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst to improve her shield buff and her Cryo damage output.
For Ascension Talent, you should get Citlali to ascension level 4 as soon as possible to unlock both of her talents, allowing her to decrease enemies’ Hydro and Pyro resistance when her skill is up and massively increase her Elemental Mastery stat as well as boosting her Elemental Burst damage massively.
Priority: Elemental Skill = Elemental Burst > Normal Attack

As a character that helps boost the team’s survivability with powerful shielding ability and providing Cryo marks for easier Elemental Reactions, Citlali is a very unique character whose abilities scales with the Elemental Mastery Stat.

Constellation Priorities
Citlali Recommended Constellations
C1 - Radiant Blades of Centzon Mimixcoah
Citlali’s 1st Constellation helps boost the team’s overall damage output whenever she uses her elemental skill by granting her 10 stacks of Stellar Blade when she uses her skill. As long as Citlali have Stellar Blade stacks, whenever the active character attacks, she will consume 1 stack of stellar blade to deal damage based on her Elemental Mastery in conjunction with the active character.
Rating: Highly Recommended (Get to improve team’s damage output)
C2 - Heart Devourer's Travail
Citlali’s 2nd Constellation is one that massively helps boost her own damage as well as provide extremely powerful buffs to allies. When activated, this constellation grants Citlali a 125 Elemental Mastery boost and helps boost the entire team’s Elemental Mastery whenever they have Citlali’s shield or familiars following them. Additionally, Citlali’s talent that decreases the enemies’ Hydro and Pyro resistances when allies trigger elemental reactions will be doubled from 20% to 40%, massively boosting the team’s damage output.
Rating: Most Recommended (Massively Improve Citlali’s Buffing Prowess)
C4 - Death Defier's Spirit Skull
Citlali’s 4th Constellation further improves her own damage output by introducing an additional damage instance whenever her familiar deals damage while her skill is active. This also helps recover Citlali’s Nightsoul energy and allow her to enter her nightsoul state easier.
Rating: Recommended (A decent Constellation that introduce another damage instance to supplement the team’s damage output and improve Citlali’s rotation)
C6 - Death Defier's Spirit Skull
Citlali’s 6th constellation is, of course, the most overpowered constellation, which massively improves her Famiilar’s ability when Citlali uses her skill. Additionally, while her familiar is on the field, it will constantly consume Nightsoul points to grant up to 60% Pyro and Hydro Elemental Damage boost and increase the damage dealt by Citlali herself.
Rating: Extremely Recommended (Grants Massive Damage buffs to Pyro and Hydro characters and Citlali herself)
Citlali Constellations VS Signature Weapon Pulling Priorities
In terms of pulling investment for Citlali and the balance between getting her Constellations and her signature weapons, there are certain considerations players should make:
- Citlali’s weapon only serves as essentially a stat stick for her, with no direct benefit or change to Citlali’s kit herself. However, it does provide her with a good damage buffing ability for the active character.
- Citlali’s best Constellation is her C2 and C6 Constellations, with them providing additional buffing ability for Citlali to massively improve the team’s overall damage output.
Therefore, with these considerations, players should invest in Citlali in this order:
C0 + R1 |
C2 + R1 |
C6 + R1 |
C6 + R5 |

Best Team Recommendations
As Citlali is a Cryo centric team that can support various Cryo team comps with her amazing survival boosting skill kit as well as supplementing the team’s damage output with her powerful Elemental Mastery based kit, Citlali can be filled into 2 different types of teams depending on the user’s preference: The Melt team and the Freeze team.
Citlali Melt Teams
Citlali’s role in a melt team revolves around her high Elemental Mastery build as well as her ability to both grant a survival boosting shield as well as apply the Cryo mark on enemies even when she is off field, allowing for easier Melt reactions. Additionally, her talent also reduces the enemies’ Pyro Resistance when Melt is triggered, allowing the Pyro main DPS to deal even more damage when she is on the team.

Other teammates can be substituted with other damage boosting characters, but the best teammates for this team are Xilonen and Bennett.

Similar in principle to her premium team, the F2P team takes full advantage of Citlali’s Pyro resistance reduction talent and off field Cryo application to help facilitate the main Pyro DPS damage output, helping them to deal more damage with the help of 2 damage buffers.
Citlali Freeze Teams
Citlali’s role in the Freeze team is less prevalent than her role in Melt Team due to the fact that Cryo Freeze team have a lot of good enablers already. However, her shield and off field Cryo application are still very much appreciated in a good Freeze team.
