First Half Banner Recommendations
New Character: Phainon
Path: Destruction Element: Physical
Pull Recommendations:★★★★★
Phainon is a physical destruction DPS. He gains his ultimate through targeted abilities used on him (instead of energy). When conditions align, Phainon becomes a brokenly strong unit, obliterating enemies with overwhelming force. His rigid mechanics prevent him from being universally adaptable, making him a high-risk, high-reward pick.
As the sole spotlight character of Version 3.4, Phainon:
- Currently the strongest DPS in the game, no one else comes close.
- Skills and new MOC are designed around him, making him the core pick.
- Very low team requirement; works well with basically any Harmony characters.
To put it simply, Phainon is a top-tier carry with flexible team options, simple mechanics, outstanding strength, and visually explosive effects.
Pull Recommendations:
If you're lacking a strong DPS, he's a must-pull. Even if you already have a solid lineup, pulling him is still worthwhile!
Eidolons & Light Cone Analysis:
- E1: If resources are limited, E1 is not recommended.
- Signature Light Cone: Thanks to the Destruction Light Cone "On the Fall of an Aeon," which offers both solid power and great value, Phainon performs well even at E0 + F2P weapon, making him highly enjoyable even on a low investment. If you have a sufficient budget, pulling the exclusive weapon is the best choice.
If you'd like to further strengthen him, consider pulling for his signature Light Cone and key Eidolons depending on your needs. For detailed information, learn more in the Phainon build guide and check out the Phainon materials.
Rerun Character: Tribbie
Path: Harmony Element: Quantum
Pull Recommendations:★★★★☆
Since Tribbie's release, Trailblazers have surely experienced just how powerful she is. She serves as the best support in top-tier DPS lineups like The Herta and Castorice, and also fits seamlessly into many other strong teams such as Mydei and Acheron. With both versatility and strength, Tribbie has proven herself to be incredibly valuable.
Pull Recommendations:
Although Tribbie is currently a support for Castorice, according to the latest info, the version 3.6 SP March 7th – Month of Evernight will be an even better teammate for Castorice. Furthermore, Cyrene arriving in 3.7 is also a stronger, more flexible support—Tribbie’s time in the spotlight may soon be behind us.
Eidolons & Light Cone Analysis:
- E1: Tribbie's Eidolon 1 provides a significant boost to her team, especially in AoE-focused lineups. Her broad applicability across team comps makes E1 an especially strong investment. So, highly recommended to invest in her E1, for great returns.
- Signature Light Cone: It's not recommended to pull.

Rerun Character: Sunday
Path: Harmony Element: Imaginary
Pull Recommendations:★★★★☆
In Honkai: Star Rail, Sunday is a best support character focusing on enhancing summons and action bar assistance. Its high coverage rate and excellent utility make him suitable for various Team memberss.
Although Sunday is designed as a support for summon-focused main DPS, among his most common teams he typically pairs with Aglaea and JingYuan, who have summons. The top-tier Memory DPS Castorice, however, actually fits better in Memory-focused teams. Fortunately, Sunday's versatility shines—he can slot into numerous boss-focused lineups like Mydei and Acheron, where pull-management is key. Paired with Robin for dual pull support, his burst ceiling is very high.
Pull Recommendations:
If you have pulled Phainon but don’t have Sunday yet, you should prioritize pulling Sunday first. Phainon + Sunday + Cerydra (version 3.5) + SP Dan Heng (version 3.5) is the optimal team composition for Phainon.
Eidolons & Light Cone Analysis:
- It’s a viable option, but the value-for-cost ratio is average.

Rerun Character: Sparkle
Path: Harmony Element: Quantum
Pull Recommendations:★★☆☆☆
At present, Sparkle's buffing power clearly no longer stands out. Her exceptional skill point generation isn't particularly crucial for most main DPS units. Even Imbibitor Lunae—who used to be one of the most skill-point-hungry carries—now performs better with Tribbie when the turn order is optimized. This significantly lowers the necessity of pulling for Sparkle.
In Version 3.4, Archer will be given out for free. He's a main DPS who does consume quite a few skill points, but he also has solid self-generation. If you want Archer to have a smoother rotation experience, you can consider pulling for Sparkle, but in most situations, she isn't strictly necessary.
Pull Recommendations:
If you want to build an Archer team, you can pull for it, but its priority is among the lowest in this banner.
Eidolons & Light Cone Analysis:
- E1: Sparkle is mainly used in synergy with Archer, but her Light Cone investment has low cost-effectiveness and is not recommended.
- Signature Light Cone: It's not recommended to pull.
Second Half Banner Recommendations
Rerun Character: Firefly
Path: Destruction Element: Fire
Pull Recommendations:★★★☆☆
Once the top-tier Breaker main DPS, Firefly has been outclassed in the 3.X versions by the rise of Rappa strategies. Due to the widespread prevalence of Quantum Weakness and many AoE-heavy environments, Rappa has performed excellently in recent versions.
Among main DPS characters, Phainon is clearly the most worthwhile target in Version 3.4. Besides her, the two major 3.0 DPS units—Castorice and The Herta—also fit the current version better. The value of pulling Firefly has diminished somewhat.
Pull Recommendations:
Unless you're a true fan, it's not recommended to pull. And You can also pull if you're interested in future new skins.
Eidolons & Light Cone Analysis:
- E1: For those who already have her at 1+1, passionate fans with sufficient resources might consider investing in her Eidolon 2 to extend her viability.
- Signature Light Cone: It's not recommended to pull.
Rerun Character: Jingliu& Blade
Path: Destruction Element: Ice
Pull Recommendations:★☆☆☆☆
Path: Destruction Element: Wind
Pull Recommendations:★☆☆☆☆
After their buffs, both of these main DPS units have become health-drain style sustain DPS characters, but the optimal health-drain setup is firmly held by Castorice. While the potential performance of the upcoming Blade or Jingliu looks promising, they still lag behind Castorice in actual effectiveness.
Pull Recommendations:
Considering that this system basically allows only one fully optimized team composition, there's no need to forcibly pull for either Blade or Jingliu in the current version—Castorice alone is more than enough.
Eidolons & Light Cone Analysis:
- For Trailblazers who already have Blade or Jingliu, feel free to enjoy playing them, but there's no need to further invest in upgrading their setups.
Learn more in our guide to Jingliu Build Guide.
FATE Collaboration Banner
New Character: Saber
Path: Destruction Element: Wind
Pull Recommendations:★★★☆☆
Saber is a limited five-star Destruction Path character with the Wind element. Not only does she have high Break Damage, but she can also deal additional damage based on the length of the enemy's Break Gauge. As a character of Destruction, she can clear enemies in groups and deal with single targets effectively.
However, if you're considering pure strength and future meta impact, Saber's kit is somewhat underwhelming compared to Phainon. Her skills are not particularly innovative, and the performance gap is quite significant. Therefore, Saber ranks low in pull recommendation—it ultimately comes down to your personal enjoyment and priorities. And since the collaboration banner is available long-term, its pull priority is relatively low.
Furthermore, the Fate crossover banner is permanently available, so there's no rush to pull Saber immediately in Version 3.4. If you're interested, it's better to wait until after you've dealt with that version's key banners and have any spare Stellar Jade.
Pull Recommendations:
From an enjoyment standpoint, it's perfectly reasonable to invest as many Stellar Jade as you want on a favorite character.
Eidolons & Light Cone Analysis:
- E1: Saber at E1S0 or E1S1 offers surprisingly good value but there’s no need to pull.
- Signature Light Cone: If you’re not particularly fond of them, there’s no need to pull.
Learn more in our guide to Saber Build Guide and Materials Pre-farm Guide.
New Character: Archer
Path: The Hunt Element: Quantum
Pull Recommendations:☆☆☆☆☆
Interestingly, compared to Saber, Archer's damage mechanics are actually more creative. While his single-target focus naturally limits his versatility, he still serves as a solid transitional DPS option, especially for new players looking to build a decent early-game team.
Pull Recommendations:
Archer, being a free 5★ limited character in Version 3.4, doesn't require any pulls.
Light Cone Analysis:
- Signature Light Cone: he's granted after using 200 total warps in the version and even comes with a free signature Light Cone.
Learn more in our guide to Archer Build Guide and Materials Pre-farm Guide.
Conclusion
Overall, the top priorities to pull in Version 3.4 are the main banner DPS Phainon and the highly versatile support Tribbie. After that comes the summon-focused specialist support Sunday. As for Sparkle, Firefly, and other main DPS characters, their priority is relatively low, and their pull value is average at best right now.
