Honkai Star Rail Hysilens Overview

Rarity: ★★★★★ | Combat Path: Nihility | Combat Type: Physical

Hysilens is a Physical Nihility unit, our second after Luka, and our second Physical DoT DPS in Honkai Star Rail. Hysilens applies 4 types of elemental DoTs with each attack, dealing consistent damage based on her ATK. Her Ult deploys a zone that reduces enemy DEF and applies Physical DoT when enemies take DoT DMG, stacking up to 12 times per enemy, leading to massive damage potential, especially in synergy with DoT units like Kafka and Black Swan.

Hysilens Abilities:

Effectively inflicts DoT states	Hysilens will apply one of the following DoT states on enemies when an ally target attacks: Wind Shear, Bleed, Burn, Shock. These states can be stacked up to 5, but the priority is given to inflicting a different state and these states can co-exist.
High HP Nemesis	Her talent allow her to deal damage based on a percentage of the enemy's max HP, making it effective against high HP bosses.
Early triggers DoT DMG	When using Ult, all DoTs currently placed on those enemiese immediately deal DMG equal to 150% of the original DMG.
Ultimate Zone	When casting Ult, Hysilens will deploy a zone that reduces enemies' ATK and DEF. What's more, She will deal extra Physical DMG on enemies in DoT states.
Effect Hit Rate converts to bonus DMG	Hysilens's Effect Hit Rate is a key stat. For every 10% Effect Hit Rate above 60%, gains 15% bonus DMG. At 120% EHR, gets the full 90% damage boost.

With Hysilens's multiple DoT debuffs, the DoT lady squads's overall damage gets a pretty big boost. DoT teams are the first love for many Trailblazers, and with Hysilens's updated, the new era of DoT is coming in HSR 3.5!

Trace Priority

Ultimate > Skill > Talent > Base ATK

Basic ATK		Inflicts Physical DMG on a selected enemy, amounting to 140% of Hysilens's ATK.
Skill		Hysilens' skill has the effect of boosting the damage that enemies sustain. It's advisable to enhance this once her Ultimate and Talent have been upgraded.
Ultimate		Boosting this will raise both the damage of Hysilens's Ultimate and the debuffs it delivers. It should be given priority alongside her Talent.
Talent		It’s crucial to prioritize upgrading Hysilens’s Talent right away, particularly to enhance her damage over time.

Effects of the same type cannot stack. While the target is in "Enthrallment," for every 1 debuff applied by the wearer on the target, increases the target's received DoT by 5%, stacking up to 6 time(s). When the target gets attacked by an ally, increases the attacker's SPD by 10% for 3 turn(s). When the wearer gets knocked down, removes all "Enthrallment."

In a single battle, only 1 stack of Prophet can be granted for each type of DoT. Every stack of Prophet increases wearer's ATK by 5% and enables the DoT dealt to ignore 7.2% of the target's DEF.

Effect (Superimpose Lv1): The following effects only work on characters of the Path of Nihility. Increases the wearer's Break Effect by 20%. When a target enemy suffering from DoT imposed by the wearer is defeated, regenerates 4.0 Energy for the wearer.

As a damage dealer with multiple DoT-application abilities, Hysilens pairs perfectly with Kafka in a multi-core setup—their mechanics complement each other like a match made in heaven. Kafka can trigger more DoT damage, while Hysilens gets to frequently activate her ultimate's damage checks. And so on—you could also go with Black Swan and Jiaoqiu!

Of course, When putting together a team for Free-to-Play players, Hysilens pairs well with Sampo. Asta, meanwhile, stands out as an excellent free-to-play Support thanks to her attack and speed bonuses.

 

Pulling Recommendations

First of all, for DoT teams, we strongly recommend pulling Hysilens as an absolute must-have member. She brings four critical mechanics that DoT teams desperately need: energy point cycling, a ton of DoT applications, survivability boosts via enemy attack power reduction, and serving as the secondary DoT detonator.

When perfectly paired with the powerhouse combo of Kafka+Hysilens which is more competive than Kafka+Black Swan , she truly showcases the unique dominance of a DoT team. 

 

Eidolens vs. Signature LC:

E1: When Hysilens is on the field, ally targets deal DoT equal to 116% of the original DMG. When Hysilens inflicts Wind Shear/Bleed/Burn/Shock on enemies through her Talent, there is a 100% base chance to additionally inflict a Wind Shear/Bleed/Burn/Shock state that is identical to and coexists with the original Talent effect. 

Hysilens' E1 provides the entire team with undiluted 16% boost to DoT DMG and double the DoT application frequency from her Talent. This not only strengthens Hysilens's DoT application capabilities, but also synergizes extremely well DoT-detonation skills for higher returns and ensuring her Ult detonation mutiplier consistently hits the full 8 stack bonus. This is the most worthwhile Eidolen and even better than her Signature LC.

E2: Makes the 90% damage boost avaliable to the entire team. A stat-focused Eidolen, provides a solid overall boost to the team.

E4: Reduces enemies' All-Type RES by 20%, but when combined with E3's overall return, it's not recommended to pull.

E6: Greatly enhances Hysilens's Ult damage output, increasing the singlt hit mutiplier by 20% and rasing the hit cap from 8 to 12. However, it requires a lot Stellar Jades, only recommended for whale.

Signature Light Cone: This offers solid stats, granting valuable Effect Hit Rate, inflcitng 30% Vulnerability debuff on enemies and increasing the entire team's SPD by 10%. But E1's overall enhancement is better.

Eidolons Priotity :E1>E2>Signature LC>E6>E4

 

Pulling Priority:

• 1-pull budget: E0S0 (A powerful DoT DPS with compelte machenic)
• 2-pull budget: E1S0 (Increase DoT damage and stack more DoT states)
• 3-pull budget: E2S0 (The bonus damage of Bonus Ability 1 will effective for all allies, whcih boost the team's DMG)
• 4-pull budget: E2S1 (Enhance Hysilens's support ability)
• Unlimited budget: E6S1 (Just go for your love if you're a whale)

For DoT mains, the pulling priority for Hysilens are E0S0 → E1S0 → E1S1 → E2S1 → E6S1.
