Trait
According to different traits between these animas, we know that there are 9 types of trait:
Strike = 4 |
Explorer = 4 |
Gladiator = 6 |
Protector = 3 |
Blaster = 3 |
Mastermind = 4 |
Hothead = 4 |
Cherubim = 3 |
Mascot = 1 |
These different traits are likely the roles in Anima.
- Strike: Likely refers to single-target physical damage dealers, responsible for eliminating key targets.
- Blaster: Leans more towards AoE or explosive damage, with large-scale skills, DoT effects, knockback, or stun capabilities.
- Gladiator: Possesses strong 1v1 combat abilities, with healing, immunity to crowd control, or requires significant resources to reach full potential.
- Hothead: Specializes in forced displacement (charge, pull), large-scale crowd control (group taunt, knock-up), and mechanisms that trade defense for offense.
- Protector: As the name suggests, typically serves as a tank role, protecting the backline damage dealers.
- Mastermind: Excels at placing traps or turrets, summoning units, providing global vision, enhancing allies, or altering terrain.
- Explorer: High mobility, with increased speed for capturing objectives.
- Cherubim: Named after angels, likely a pure healer/buff support focused on sustaining team health and providing enhancements.
- Mascot: Offers powerful team-wide passive bonuses.
Aspect
Currently, there are a total of 16 Aspects. Based on the existing information, there doesn't seem to be a specific connection between Aspects and Traits.

Considering that this is primarily an auto-chess game, Aspect might refer to synergy traits or possibly that each Aspect corresponds to a mutually countering Aspect. According to leaks, battles in Anima are controlled by AI, so the level of Anima, bonus attributes, and counterpoints might be the key to winning the board.
Pull or Free?
On August 29th, the PV for Honkai: Nexus Anima was officially released, along with the official gameplay reveal. It can be seen that Anima features both a mount mode and a combat mode. Currently, the method of obtaining Anima remains unknown, but LDShop has a speculation:
A portion of basic Animas will be retained, while subsequent rare Animas will be released in the form of banners. Considering previous leaks suggesting that Animas have a constellation-like system, it is possible that Animas may also be upgraded through gacha mechanics. Of course, the above is speculative, and the official release will provide the definitive details.
That concludes all the content regarding the Anima aspect of Honkai: Nexus Anima. For more information on Animator, gameplay, and other HNA-related details, please check out LDShop Honkai: Nexus Anima Hub for the latest updates!
