3.8 New Finality Mission

HSR 3.8 Livestream- Memories are the Prelude to Dreams Finality Mission

Memories are the Prelude to Dreams is an upcoming Finality Mission in Version 3.8. This a new mission type that will explore the storylines of multiple factions that weren't fully covered throughout the Trailblaze Missions in Penacony.

 

3.8 New Character The Dahlia

Per the latest updates, The Dahlia—the new character set to debut in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.8—is a Fire-element unit following the Nihility Path, with her core role defined as a "top-tier Break Support." A key part of her kit is that she can deal Super Break Damage even when the target’s Toughness isn’t at 0, meaning she doesn’t require full Toughness depletion to boost a team’s Break damage output, and she also exclusively recovers Firefly’s Energy, with this effect only triggerable by the two of them.

Widely expected to either challenge or replace Ruan Mei as the core support in Break teams, Dahlia stands out for her meta-shaping potential, and she offers fresh synergy options for Trailblazers looking to optimize their Break team compositions.

New Gameplay Tutorial

HP Count

Units with "HP Count" will not lose HP when attacked, but their "HP Count" will decrease instead. When the "HP Count" reaches zero, the unit will be knocked down. Healing and Shield effects cannot prevent "HP Count" reduction.

When ally characters defeat enemy targets, they will regain "HP Count".  When a memosprite defeats an enemy target, the memomaster will regain "HP Count."

 

Back Row Target

Back Row Target is located in the back of the formation on the field and cannot be selected by "Single Target ATK" and "Blast"-type abilities. "AoE ATK," "Bounce," and "Follow-Up ATK" abilities can hit enemy Back Row Targets.

When an enemy with "Back Row Target" is defeated, DMG dealt to the enemy boss increases up to 2000%. This effect will be removed when the enemy boss enters a new phase.

 

HP Overload

Units in the "Overloadable" state will convert any damage exceeding their current HP into "HP Overload" and won't be knocked down as a result.

When "Overload Settlement" on the action bar takes action, HP calculation will be performed. Units with HP below 0 will receive fatal damage. It is recommended to select multiple characters who excel at shielding and healing to keep your ally units' HP up.

 

Hallucinogenic Mermaid

After the Boss Enemy receives a certain number of attacks, one ally character will enter the "Phantom Illusion" state. While in this state, the "Hallucinogenic Mermaid" will take the character's place in combat. "Hallucinogenic Mermaid" will inherit some of the character's stats.

"Hallucinogenic Mermaid" cannot receive healing or Shield effects, and deals massive DMG to all allies when defeated. Using Skill as "Hallucinogenic Mermaid" applies DoT effect based on target's Max HP and triggers additional DoT calculations. Using Basic ATK dispels the "Phantom Illusion" state. It is recommended to select characters that can Support "Hallucinogenic Mermaid" to fully utilize the powerful DoT effects from its Skill.

Calamity BOSS fights by summoning Juvenile Stings and converting damage taken into healing through Corrosion. In its empowered phase, it boosts speed, forces Stings to focus one marked ally, and charges up for a massive Fire AoE if the Stings survive. Clear all Stings quickly to cancel its healing, restore skill points, and expose the boss to extra damage.

 

New Penacony Map

New Penacony Maps: Dream of Gnawing Oak, Burn Like My Heart.

New achievement: Defeat the enemy target with Super Break DMG while it's under Toughness Protection.

Dream of Gnawing Oak is an upcoming Penacony map that will be released in Version 3.8. This area can be explored during the 3.8 Finality Mission!

 

New Optimization

Quickly switch

You can quickly switch the Trailblazer’s and March 7th’s Paths right from the Team Setup screen.

Currency War

A major update for Currency War Zero-Sum Game brings broad buffs to characters, Bonds, and equipment, boosting DoT, Break, Follow-up, and AoE teams while improving the economy system and fixing bugs. Key buffed characters include Rappa, Boothill, Firefly, Imbibitor Lunae, Archer, Herta, Jade, Argenti, Anaxa, Jing Yuan, Natasha, Lingsha, Luocha, Moze, Feixiao, and Topaz.

New Room Decorations and Accessories

In version 3.8, a series of new room decorations will be added, most of which are related to the Chrysos Heris and mementos from our time in Amphoreus.
