Should I pull Cerydra for Phainon?

For the HSR’s version 3.5 will come into second half. New character, Cerydra’ s banner will be released. As the first release of the Cerydra, is it worth pulling now? 1.Cerydra overview

Cerydra is positioned as a Wind -type with Harmony-path supporter. She has unique Skill Copy mechanism and she can provide huge-value DMG increasing for DPS, especially Phainon.

Let’s overview her core skill mechanism & core Eidolons.

(1).Core skill mechanism

Skill: The core mechanism. Applies the “Military Merit” state to a designated ally character and provides Cerydra with charge. When that ally uses his/her Skill, it consumes 6 Energy to replicate that Skill one additional time (does not consume Skill Points).

Ultimate: It can make position 1 to get “Military Merit” state if there are no characters with “Military Merit”

Talent: It can provide ATK increase for character with “Military Merit”

Extra trace can provide SPD to character with “Military Merit”

(2).Core Eidolon

Actually, Cerydra with E0 has all complete mechanism, but we want to introduce her E1, which has great output increasing for team,especially for Phainon.

E1 can make characters with “Military Merit” ignore 16% of enemies’DE , and it can regenerates energy for the designated ally target, which can help Phainon to use his ultimate quickly.

 

2.Cerydra’ s performance in Phainon’s team

Currently, Phainon’s team can be built up by below formulation: Phainon+ 3 supporters (Normally, Sunday, Bronya & Sparkle),

which can fully support Phainon to output huge-value DMG.

Cerydra's buffs are divided into two parts:

• Full Uptime: The large ATK bonus from her Talent.
• Conditional Uptime: The 72% CRIT DMG and 10% RES PEN from her Skill are only enjoyed by the Skill instance replicated through her mechanism.

It is this "conditional uptime" mechanism that causes her performance to differ vastly in teams with Pale at different Eidolon levels.

For E0 Phainon:

Significant Boost: E0 Phainon has fewer damage instances during transformation. The 2 replicated Meteor Skills make up a very high proportion, thus efficiently enjoying the CRIT DMG/RES PEN buffs.

Replacing Bronya with E0 Cerydra provides approx. ~25% damage increase. E1 Cerydra can provide up to a ~50% increase.

For E2 Phainon:

Limited Boost: E2 Phainon has many more damage instances during transformation, but Cerydra 's CRIT DMG/RES PEN buffs still only cover 4 Meteor Skills (2 replications). The buff uptime ratio is relatively lower, diluting the overall increase.

Replacing Bronya with E0 Cerydra provides approx. ~10% damage increase. E1 Cerydra can provide up to a ~30% increase.

 

3.Should I pull for Phainon?

There are several conditions:

(1). E0 Phainon and you have Sunday.

Sunday provides full-uptime buffs,you can pull E0 or E1 Cerydra here is an excellent choice.

(2). E2 Phainon.

It is advised to pull at least for E1 Cerydra. E0 offers a negligible increase, E1 Cerydra can provide up to a ~30% increase.

(3) E0 Phainon without Sunday

You can skip Cerydra’s banner. Without Sunday to simplify operation, using Bronya alongside Cerydra makes team operation extremely complex, easily leading to mistakes in practice and significantly reduced damage. Your pulling plan are better to wait for Phainon 's re-release and directly get his E2.

 

Conclusion

Cerydra is a good Harmony-path character who can provides skill duplication and DMG&SPD increasing, which makes DPS characters whose DMG reply on their skills have good performance. What’s more, she with her E0 has complete mechanism.
