Heroes are the driving force of every PvP battle. They lead the charge, inspire troops, and often turn the tide of a fight with their unique skills. Each squad is made up of five heroes, and the way you combine them can be the difference between victory and defeat. Choosing the right mix isn’t just strategy—it’s the heart of building a powerful team.
In this guide, we’ll take you through Hero Vehicle Types, Hero Levels & Skills, and the Best Heroes List, giving you everything you need to create squads that truly shine on the battlefield.
What we have
Hero Vehicle Types
The game features three primary vehicle types: Tanks, Aircraft, and Missile Vehicles. These are linked through a Troop Type Counter system, which creates a strategic triangle where each type holds advantages over one and vulnerabilities against another.
Tank: Tank Vehicles |
Strength |
Tanks take 20% less damage from Missile Vehicles, making them tough against long-range fire. |
Weakness |
Tanks deal normal damage to Aircraft but are countered by them due to low agility. |
|
Aircraft: Aircraft Vehicles |
Strength |
Aircraft take 20% less damage from Tanks, using their agility to dodge most ground attacks. |
Weakness |
Yet, they are highly exposed to Missile Vehicles, which can strike them from afar. |
|
Missile: Missile Vehicles |
Strength |
Missile Vehicles gain resilience against Aircraft, as they take 20% reduced damage when attacked.. |
Weakness |
They are particularly effective against Tanks, making them a great choice to target and break through defensive lines. |

Hero Rarity
UR Heroes are the most powerful and prestigious heroes in Last War: Survival. They are marked by their golden color and are often the most sought-after due to their superior stats, abilities, and versatility on the battlefield.
SSR heroes are the second-highest category of heroes, identified by their purple color. They have stronger stats than SR heroes and effective skills that can still play a central role in a player's lineup.
SR heroes are standard heroes in the game, marked by their light blue color. They play a crucial role in the early stages of the game, serving as the initial troop members that help players progress and increase their early HQ levels. Although they have lower base stats compared to higher-tier heroes, they provide a solid foundation for building the HQs and acquiring other hero types.
Rarity Promotion
Only two heroes can be promoted: Mason and Violet. Rarity promotion lets them advance from SSR to UR, but only after reaching 5 stars.
Hero Skills
Hero skills are unique abilities that define a hero’s role in battle, including attacks, defenses, or support buffs. Players can upgrade skills with Skill Medals to increase their power, making heroes stronger and more versatile in combat.
Hero Capabilities
Damage Dealers specialize in delivering high amounts of damage to enemies. Their primary role is to aggressively attack and eliminate opposing units, making them essential for offensive strategies. They are key players in battles, whether it's engaging in PvP skirmishes or pushing through enemy defenses.
Types of Damage |
Physical Damage: Direct attacks that rely on raw strength, effective for breaking enemy defenses and handling tough opponents. |
Energy Damage: Attacks using energy-based skills, capable of bypassing some defenses and dealing heavy damage, especially to units weak against energy. |
Damage Takers are heroes designed to absorb and mitigate damage to protect their team. Their focus is on defense, through several protective skills and abilities in PvP battles and against monsters.
Types of Protective Skills |
Physical Protection: High defense and HP allow heroes to absorb damage and lessen enemy attacks. |
Buffs for Defense: Some Damage Takers can strengthen the defense of the two front-line units, improving their survivability. |
|
Defensive Debuffs: Skills that weaken enemy attacks by lowering their attack power or effectiveness, reducing incoming damage. |
|
Monster Damage Reduction: Abilities that specifically cut damage from monsters (zombies), offering extra protection in PvE events. |
|
Counterattack Defense: Skills that retaliate when attacked, discouraging enemies and adding an extra layer of defense. |
Support heroes provide buffs to their team, enhancing their performance in combat. Their primary role is to strengthen and sustain the team, ensuring that allies can fight more effectively. Other heroes may have individual skills that also provide these effects.
Key Buffs |
Combat Enhancements: Support heroes can boost allies’ stats, such as attack, defense, or speed, enhancing overall team performance. |
Damage Boosts Against Monsters: Certain Support heroes increase damage dealt to monsters (zombies), essential for PvE-focused battles. |
|
Resource Gain: Some Support heroes enhance resources gained from defeating map zombies, helping players gather supplies more efficiently. |
