Assuming no delays, The update is expected to go live on July 30, 2025!

New character: Ineffa

A recent leak indicates that a new 5-star Electro character is joining Genshin Impact’s version 5.8. This revelation contradicts the previous leaks hinting at no new character joining the game in the upcoming update.

Rarity：⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐｜Element：Electro｜ Weapon:  Polearm

Ineffa is described as a support who enhances or modifies the Electro-Charged reaction, similar to how Nilou interacts with Bloom. More importantly, this unit will reportedly focus on triggering Electro-Charged reactions in a unique way — possibly delivering all damage at once or even enabling critical hits.

Lasted leaks mention that Ineffa could be from Nod-Krai, the next major region coming in Version 6.0. Introducing her in 5.8 — the final patch before that update — would make sense for lore continuity. If true, she would be the first teaser for that upcoming expansion.

Unlike Nilou, Ineffa allegedly won’t limit your team to only Hydro and Electro members. This flexibility opens up more team comps, and she may work well with units like Tartaglia, Clorinde, Ororon, or Ifa, who already benefit from Electro-Charged setups.
