A bunch of brand new characters are introduced in the game’s 2nd phase main story, including key characters like Zani, Lupa, Cartethyia and one of the most important antagonist characters for the new chapter - Phrolova.

Phrolova Basic Information

Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ｜ Element: Havoc ｜ Weapon: Rectifier

As one of the main antagonists in the 2nd main story chapter of Wuthering Waves, Phrolova has been teased as a playable character for Wuthering Waves and has appeared in the story since the start of the game alongside Scar. She will be a Havoc Element character that wields a Rectifier as her weapon of choice.

Phrolova can deal massive Havoc damage to enemies in a wide area in quick succession and favors a Havoc based team to boost her overall damage output. From the initial leaks of her skill kit, Phrolova will fit the role of Main DPS in a Havoc Damage centric team.

 

Phrolova Release Date

As one of the very important characters in the main story of Wuthering Waves, Phrolova has been leaked to be having her release in the game’s Version update 2.5, which will launch during The End Of July / The Start Of August, 2025.

Little to currently known about her release schedule or what characters she will be running her banner alongside with, however, players can expect Phrolova’s Banner to be The First Banner during version 2.5 update for Wuthering Waves.

 

Phrolova Skills Kit Leaks & Details

Normal Attack

Basic Attack

Perform up to 3 consecutive attacks, dealing Havoc DMG.

Heavy Attack

Consume STA to attack the target, dealing Havoc DMG.Press Normal Attack shortly after casting this skill to cast Basic Attack Stage 2.

Scarlet Coda

When Phrolova has 6 Volatile Notesand is not in the , Heavy Attack is replaced with Scarlet Coda, consuming STA to deal Havoc DMG (considered Resonance Skill DMG).

Each stack of additionally increases the DMG Multiplier of this instance of damage, at a max of 24 stacks of Overtune.

Casting this skill is considered ascasting Echo Skill.

Phrolova enters Resolving Chordafter casting this skill.

 

Mid-air Attack

Consume STA to perform a PlungingAttack, dealing Havoc DMG.

 

Dodge Counter

Press Normal Attack after asuccessful Dodge to attack thetarget, dealing Havoc DMG.

Press Normal Attack shortly aftercasting this skill to cast Basic Attack Stage 3.

 

Resonance Skill

Attack the target and deal Havoc DMG.

 

Resonance Liberation

Waltz of Forsaken Depths

When in the state, Waltz of Forsaken Depths becomes available. Casting this skill ends the Resolving Chord state, and Phrolova enters the Maestro state for 24s.

Maestro State

Phrolova floats in the air and commands Hecate to attack. Hecate shares Phrolova's attributes. Any damage dealt by Hecate isconsidered to come from Phrolova. In this state, Phrolova plays out Volatile Notes in the order of acquisition, each Volatile Note lasting for 4s.

If Phrolova is on the field, she can give the following cues to Hecate. Any damage taken by Hectate also affects Phrolova.

-Cue - Basic Attack: Click Normal Attack and command Hecate to cast Basic Attack -Hecate.

-Cue -Enhanced Attack: When Hecate casts Basic Attack or Dodge 2 times in total, the next Cue - Basic Attack is replaced with Cue -Enhanced Attack, commanding Hecate to cast Enhanced Attack -Hecate.

-Cue - Dodge: Click Jump andcommand Hecate to dodge an attack.

-Cue -Starting Position: Click Jumpand command Hecate to return toher starting position.

When Phrolova is not on the field, Hecate takes no damage and automatically casts Basic Attack-Hecate to attack the target. When Resonators in the team cast Echo Skill, Hecate casts Enhanced Attack Hecafe to attack the target.

While in Conducting State, Echoes of the same name can trigger this effect up to 1 time.

Switching back to Phrolova ends Conducting State.

Hecate Skill Kit Basic Attack - Hecate Perform up to 3 consecutive attacks, dealing Havoc DMG (considered EchoSkill DMG). Enhanced Attack - Hecate: Strings When Phrolova performs MusicalPiece - Strings, Hecate casts this skill when receiving Cue - EnhancedAttack, dealing Havoc DMG and briefly Stagnating targets (considered Echo Skill DMG). Lingering Note

Phrolova can hold up to 48 stacks ofLingering Note.

When Phrolova is not on the field, casting Enhanced Attack -Strings: Hecate, Enhanced Attack -Winds: Hecate, and Enhanced Attack -Cadenza: Hecate grants 1 stack of Lingering Note.

When Phrolova is not in the combatstate for over 30s, remove all stacksof Lingering Note.

Musical Piece

Phrolova can hold up to 6 Musical Pieces. When the number of Musical Pieces reaches its maximum, all Musical Pieces shift one slot to the left, and the left most Musical Piece will be removed.

Hitting a target with Basic Attack -Phrolova Stage 3 and Dirage of Demise grants 1 piece of Musical Piece - Strings.

Hitting a target with Resonance Skill and Haunting Reverie grants 1 piece of Musical Piece - Winds.

When Inherent Skill -Accidental is activated, casting Suite of Doom,Suite of lmmortality, and Echo Skill replaces the next Musical Piece with Musical Piece -Cadenza.

Phrolova cannot obtain Musical Piece when in Resolving Chord.

Attack the target, deailng Havoc DMG. Click Normal Attack shortly after casting this skill to cast Basic Attack Stage 3.

Suite of lmmortality

When ends, the next Suite of Doom is replaced with Suite of immortality, deailng Havoc DMG (consideredResonance Skill DMG). Click Normal Attack shortly after casting this skill to cast Basic Attack Stage 3.

 

Outro Skill

The next incoming Resonator has their Havoc DMG Amplied by 20% and Heavy DMG by 25% for 14s or until they are switched out. Casting this skill when Phrolova is in additionally casts Cue - Enhanced Attack 2 times.

 

Inherent Skill

After casting Suite of Doom, Suite of lmmortality, and Echo Skill, the next becomes Musical Piece -Cadenza.

Obtain 8 stacks of upon entering the combat state. This effect cannot be triggered again within 1s after exiting the combat state. For every 1 stacks of Lingering Note, increase Crit DMG by 2%.

 

Phrolova Signature Weapon

Base Atk: 587 | Crit Rate: 24.3%

Passive: Increases ATK by 12%. Within 12 seconds of dealing Echo damage, resonance ability damage is increased by 32%, Echo DMG is amplified by 32%, and damage dealt ignores 8% of the target's DEF.

 

Resonance Chain

1. Key- The Secret Path to the Underworld

Increases the damage multiplier of Dirage of Demise by 80%.

Increases the damage multiplier of Haunting Reverie by 80%.

2. Rope - The Bond of Renewal and Rebirth

Increases Scarlet Coda's damage multiplier by 100%.

The damage boost granted by Echo stacks to Scarlet Coda is increased by 100%.
Using Scarlet Coda grants 8 Echo stacks.

3. Dagger - The Power to Banish Delusions

Increases Resonance Skill damage by 60%.

Increases Suite of lmmortality damage multiplier by 80%.

Using Scarlet Coda converts all [Musical Piece] into [Musical Piece -Cadenza].

4. Torch - The Guide to a New Path

After using a Resonance Skill, increases all team members’ attack by 20% for 30seconds.

5. Forked Road - The Crucial Passage Through Life

While in the Maestro State, damage taken is reduced by 50%.

6. Midnight - Walking Beyond Rest and Endings

Echo stack limit increased by 24. Each Echo stack increases Enhanced Attack: Hecate's damage multiplier by 1% Casting Dirage of Demise or Haunting Reverie will summon Hecate to cast Phantom of Rebirth: Hecate once, dealing Annihilation damage and granting 8 Echo stacks.

While in the Maestro State and Phrolova is the active character, Hecate's Norma Attack damage multiplier is increased by 300%, and targets hit by Hecate take 100% more damage from her.

 

Phrolova Potential Teammates & Team Synergy

As mentioned, as a Havoc character that wields a Rectifier as her main weapon, Phrolova skill kit and abilities allow her to fit either the Sub DPS or Main DPS position in a Havoc damage centric team, making her a very center piece that players can build a team around in order to maximize her damage potential and abilities in order to clear the majority of the game’s contents.
