NTE Version 1.5, titled Once Upon a Glitched Call, is scheduled to launch on November 11, 2026.

The update is expected to run until December 23, covering both banner phases. Unlike the earlier estimate in this article, the November 11 release date has now been confirmed in the official preview announcement.

Version 1.5 will also introduce a new main story episode, Meet Me in the Data Stream, alongside new gameplay features such as logistics management and tank battles.

NTE 1.5 New Characters

Phase 1: Elyms

NTE 1.5 Elyms

Elyms is the lieutenant of ETD Team 6 and a new S-Rank Cosmos character arriving in the first half of Version 1.5.

Her combat role is now much clearer following the preview. Rather than being a conventional backline support, Elyms uses a rapid-cycle combat system built around a mechanic called Signal Strength.

Her Birail Skill can immediately fill her cycle meter, allowing her to move into her rotation more quickly. She builds Signal Strength through basic attacks, Support Skills, and Enhanced Skills, with stronger signals improving the power of her Ultimate and subsequent coordinated attacks.

Elyms also provides team support by strengthening Charge and Remora-related combat mechanics. Her Ultimate can switch between single-target and area-of-effect attacks depending on the number of scanned enemies, while also providing an ATK buff to other party members.

After activating her Ultimate, she can continue contributing through off-field coordinated attacks for a limited duration.

Overall, Elyms looks like a character who combines active combat, team buffs, and off-field damage. Players interested in Charge or Remora teams may want to pay particular attention to her kit.

Her exact performance and best team compositions will become clearer once players can test her in the live game.

Phase 2: Exe

NTE 1.5 Exe

Exe is the captain of ETD Team 6 and a new S-Rank Chaos character. He will arrive in the second half of Version 1.5, beginning December 2.

Unlike Elyms, Exe is designed as a ranged damage dealer. His combat revolves around two core mechanics: Frames and Ranks.

Exe builds Frames through his attacks and uses Digital Spectrums to inflict additional damage. By performing combos, using skills, executing Extreme Evasions, and counterattacking, he can increase his Rank through the following progression:

  • B
  • A
  • S
  • SS
  • SSS

Higher Ranks allow him to accumulate Frames more efficiently, creating a progression system that rewards consistent combat execution.

His Birail Skill attacks enemies while generating Frames. When enough resources are available, he can launch focused attacks using multiple Digital Spectrums.

Exe's Ultimate generates additional Frames, raises his Rank, and activates an enhanced state in which his attacks project Digital Spectrums for sustained damage. He also gains a special attack option against non-boss enemies within range.

As a Chaos character, Exe may be particularly interesting for players building teams around Chaos and related elemental reactions. His final damage potential and ideal teammates will need to be evaluated after release.

Will NTE 1.5 Have Rerun Banners?

Yes. The Version 1.5 preview has confirmed two rerun characters: Shinku and Chaos.

Phase 1: Shinku Rerun

Shinku will return alongside Elyms from November 11 to December 2.

Players who missed Shinku during her previous banner will have another opportunity to obtain her. Whether she is worth pulling depends on your current roster, preferred teams, and whether you also want Elyms.

Phase 2: Chaos Rerun

Chaos will return alongside Exe from December 2 to December 23.

This gives players a choice between obtaining the new Chaos damage dealer and picking up the returning character. If you are interested in Exe's combat mechanics, it may be worth waiting for more information about his team requirements before committing your resources to either banner.

The rerun lineup is no longer speculative, so you can now plan around these confirmed dates rather than waiting for additional leaks.

Should You Pull Elyms or Exe in NTE 1.5?

The choice between Elyms and Exe will largely depend on your existing roster and the type of team you want to build.

Consider Elyms if:

  • You want a Cosmos character with team-support capabilities.
  • You are interested in Charge or Remora-related team compositions.
  • You prefer a character who combines active combat with off-field coordinated attacks.
  • You want to explore the new mechanics introduced in Version 1.5.

Consider Exe if:

  • You want a new Chaos ranged damage dealer.
  • You enjoy combat systems built around combos, resource generation, and escalating ranks.
  • You want to explore Chaos-based elemental reaction teams.
  • You prefer a character whose damage rotation rewards maintaining an enhanced combat state.

If you are interested in both characters, remember that their banners are separated by approximately three weeks. This gives you some additional time to assess your resources after Elyms arrives, although it is still worth planning your pulls in advance.

Final Thoughts

Elyms appears to offer a combination of team buffs, rapid cycling, and coordinated attacks, while Exe focuses on ranged damage and a progressive Frames-and-Ranks combat system. Both characters introduce interesting possibilities for team building, but their actual performance will need to be tested after release.

If you are planning to pull for characters in both Version 1.4 and 1.5, start reviewing your available resources now. Prioritize the characters that best fit your roster instead of feeling pressured to pull for every new release.

FAQ

Who is in the NTE 1.5 banners?

Version 1.5 features two new S-Rank characters, Elyms and Exe, alongside two reruns. Phase 1 features Elyms and Shinku, while Phase 2 features Exe and Chaos.

What element is Elyms?

Elyms is an S-Rank Cosmos character. Her kit focuses on Signal Strength, rapid cycling, team buffs, and coordinated attacks. She can also strengthen Charge and Remora-related combat mechanics.

Is Elyms a support or a DPS?

Elyms combines team-support capabilities with active combat and off-field damage. Her kit includes ATK buffs, enhanced attacks, and coordinated follow-up damage, so describing her as a pure support would be too simplistic.

What element is Exe?

Exe is an S-Rank Chaos character specializing in ranged damage. His combat system revolves around building Frames and increasing his Rank to improve his damage output.

Who could work with Exe?

Exe's Chaos attribute makes Chaos-oriented reaction teams worth exploring. Zankou and Blackbird may be candidates to consider, depending on their compatibility with his final kit and your team's reaction setup. However, his optimal teammates should not be treated as confirmed until more testing is available.

When will NTE 1.5 release?

NTE Version 1.5 launches on November 11, 2026, and is scheduled to run until December 23, 2026.
