The Gift Code
The Preview Livestream released a redemption code: PUNISHING0924
Redeem it before 09/29 23:59 UTC. To redeem, complete the tutorial, head to the main screen, tap the notifications icon on the left side, and enter the code in the box at the bottom right.
Don't skip this one — it expires when the collaboration launches.
Adelyde: Anabasis — First Overlinker, Free S-Rank

Adelyde's Frame Dossier has been published, and the essentials are confirmed: Dark element, Overlinker frame type, Cross Cannon weapon, and Ultima Slash as her signature effect.
That is four data points, not a full kit. Element, weapon, and class narrow her role considerably — Dark places her into an elemental bracket with its own roster depth, Cross Cannon suggests a heavier attack rhythm, and Overlinker (more on that below) signals a switch-focused playstyle. But none of these tell you her damage profile, her rotation, or how her buffs actually trigger in practice. Anyone publishing tier placements or team compositions before the version goes live is working from a class description, not data.
Her introduction identifies her as the F.O.S. Field Training Instructor, and her first line is characteristically blunt — she would rather skip pleasantries and get straight to the mission briefing. It's a small detail, but it fits the pattern of Kuro Games using dossiers to establish tone as well as stats.
She Comes With Everything She Needs
The free package is broader than a bare frame. Here's what Commandants can claim:
Through Journal of Promise (limited time):
- Adelyde: Anabasis ×1
Through Service Shop (also free):
- Inver-Shard – Anabasis ×50
- 6★ Weapon – Unforsaken Beacon
- Exclusive CUB – Kelpie
- Other upgrade materials
That matters more than it might appear. A free S-Rank without a weapon or CUB is a frame you cannot field at strength — this package includes both, plus shards toward resonance.
This follows an established pattern. Helentine: Lacrimosa was also given away for a limited time when she released on 17 July, with a similar package through Journal of Promise and Service Shop. Kuro Games appears to be running free S-Rank distributions alongside its paid banners, which is worth factoring into how you budget Black Cards. Not every headline frame this year has required pulling.
One caution: the "limited time" wording matters. Nothing published says how long the Journal of Promise window runs. Claim early rather than assuming it will sit there for the full version.
The Overlinker Class: What It Actually Does

This is the part of the version that will shape team-building for months, and it is worth understanding before the buff numbers arrive.
An Overlinker does not add a new system beside PGR's existing combat loop. It pays you for the loop you are already running.
When an Overlinker joins the team, any team member who switches in during combat gains a Buff. When certain conditions are met, all members enter a special state when Matrix is triggered, gaining additional Buffs.
PGR's combat already revolves around switching — you rotate frames to chain QTEs, extend combos, and keep three-ping sequences running. Switching is not an occasional decision; it is the loop. An Overlinker does not ask you to learn a new pattern. It attaches value to the thing you were already doing. Every rotation you have been performing for QTE chains now also generates buffs, which means the class rewards good existing play rather than demanding a new one.
The Matrix condition adds a second layer. Matrix is PGR's slow-motion dodge window — the game's central defensive mechanic. Tying a team-wide buff state to it links offence and defence in a way the roster has not done before.
What is not published: what the switch-in Buff actually grants, what the conditions for the Matrix state are, or how long either lasts. Until those numbers arrive, any Overlinker team-building advice is speculation.
PGR × Date A Live V: Launching 29 September

This is the update that changes the version's shape. The collaboration was announced on 23 May 2026 during the Long Road Return livestream, and for months it had no release date. The Preview Livestream has now confirmed it launches 29 September— just five days after Anchored in Faith.
Kurumi Tokisaki is confirmed as the S-Rank collab character. A Preview PV titled Prologue of the Time Gap has been released, framing the event thematically around time manipulation — fitting for Date A Live's most iconic character.
What is not confirmed: Kurumi's element, frame class, weapon, CUB, or banner structure. Collab characters in PGR historically arrive as limited-time additions rather than permanent roster entries, which is worth factoring into your saving plan.
For context, PGR's past collaborations — NieR: Automata, Black Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall, and Devil May Cry — have been praised for creative story freedom and combat fidelity to the source material. Fans are optimistic the Date A Live V event receives the same treatment.
Where Anchored in Faith Sits in the Roadmap
This version completes the third of four Constructs named during the sixth anniversary livestream: Karenina, Adelyde, Helentine, and Leia.
- Helentine: Lacrimosa— arrived 17 July
- Karenina: Effulgence— arrived 19 August
- Adelyde: Anabasis— arriving 24 September
- Leia— the final name from the list, release order unconfirmed
The timing is clean. Steering By Light closes on 23 September at 23:00 UTC on EN servers and 24 September on CN, TW, JP, and KR servers. Anchored in Faith opens immediately after.
Where the Date A Live V collaboration slots against Leia has not been stated. It could follow Anchored in Faith directly (which the 29 September date suggests), or Leia could arrive between them. Treat any specific ordering as speculation until Kuro Games confirms it.
What to Do Before 24 September
Finish Steering By Light. Event content closes with the version, and EN players lose it a day earlier than Asian servers. If you have unfinished event stages or Rapid Pursuit rewards, clear them first.
Don't spend Black Cards assuming you need to pull Adelyde. She is free. Whatever banner runs alongside her, it is not for her. Budget accordingly — the Date A Live V collaboration launches five days later, and Kurumi is a limited-time collab character.
Bank shards and materials. A free frame still needs levelling. Arriving with a free S-Rank you cannot invest in wastes the giveaway. Stockpile the materials Adelyde will need before the version drops.
Claim Adelyde early. No duration has been published for the Journal of Promise window. "Limited time" is doing real work in that announcement.
Redeem PUNISHING0924 before 09/29. It expires when the collaboration launches.
Wait for the kit before rebuilding teams. An Overlinker changes how a squad is assembled — but not until anyone knows what its buffs actually do. The class description suggests switch-heavy play will be rewarded, but the specifics will determine whether Adelyde slots into existing Dark teams or enables something new.
Final Thoughts
Anchored in Faith is not a version you can evaluate from the announcement alone. The Overlinker class is a genuine structural addition to PGR's combat, the free Adelyde package lowers the barrier to experimenting with it, and the Date A Live V collaboration gives the month a second headline moment just five days later.
The version launches 24 September. The collaboration follows on 29 September. Adelyde is waiting — and she is free.
