Most Anticipated PlayStation Games of September 2026
Marvel's Wolverine
Without question, Marvel's Wolverine is one of PlayStation's biggest exclusives of 2026. Developed by Insomniac Games, the studio behind Marvel's Spider-Man, the game promises a darker and more mature story centered on Logan, one of Marvel's most iconic characters.
Players will experience brutal close-quarters combat powered by Wolverine's adamantium claws while exploring a narrative that delves into his violent past, personal struggles, and relentless determination. The game is expected to feature cinematic storytelling, fluid traversal, and intense action sequences that showcase Logan's ferocity like never before.
Combined with Insomniac's proven expertise in creating blockbuster superhero experiences, Marvel's Wolverine has the potential to become one of the defining PlayStation releases of the year and a must-play title for action-adventure fans.
The Blood of Dawnwalker
Developed by Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by former CD Projekt RED developers, The Blood of Dawnwalker is a dark fantasy RPG that places players in a world where vampires have emerged from the shadows to reshape society.
Players assume the role of a Dawnwalker, a character caught between humanity and vampirism. Every decision influences both the story and the world around you, while an expansive open world encourages exploration, side quests, and encounters with supernatural threats.
The game combines narrative-driven role-playing, meaningful choices, and dynamic combat systems, making it one of the most promising new RPG franchises scheduled for release in 2026.
Silent Hill: Townfall
Silent Hill: Townfall aims to deliver a fresh interpretation of one of gaming's most iconic horror franchises. Rather than relying solely on traditional survival horror mechanics, the game focuses heavily on psychological tension, mystery, and atmosphere.
Players will uncover disturbing secrets while navigating eerie environments filled with unsettling imagery and hidden dangers. Every clue contributes to a larger narrative that gradually reveals the truth behind the town's horrors.
For fans of story-driven horror experiences, Townfall could become one of the most memorable and unsettling releases of the year.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
At last, the legendary sword-action series is back! Capcom’s Onimusha: Way of the Sword slashes its way onto consoles on September 25, taking players into a dark, atmospheric vision of 16th-century Japan. This new entry keeps the iconic “Issen” parry system and hard-hitting sword combat intact, while adding deeper progression mechanics inspired by modern RPGs. Even better, an official free demo is available now, letting you dive into the opening chapter and experience its weighty, satisfying combat for yourself. This is the comeback longtime fans have been waiting for. Don’t miss it.
Minecraft Dungeons 2
Following the success of the original game, Minecraft Dungeons 2 expands the formula with larger environments, deeper progression systems, and even more loot to collect. While maintaining the accessible dungeon-crawling gameplay that appealed to players of all ages, the sequel introduces new enemy types, expanded character customization, and more complex cooperative mechanics.
Players can venture through diverse biomes, discover powerful equipment, and team up with friends to tackle increasingly challenging dungeons. The combination of Minecraft's recognizable universe and action RPG gameplay continues to make the series one of the most accessible cooperative experiences available.
