Layton Research Lab’s crazy experiments are officially out of control, and a frenzied horde of Infected is heading straight for our home turf. If we don’t band together to smash those buff-granting Radiation Towers and hold the line, our settlements are going to get completely overrun. In this quick guide, you'll learn exactly how to crush both stages of the event, protect your base, and maximize your token rewards. Let's lock and load.

Requirements & How to Start
Before your Alliance can jump into the chaos, you have to meet a few strict requirements. R4 and R5 officers need to manually start or schedule the event between Tuesday and Friday during active seasons.
- Alliance Level: Must be Level 2 or higher.
- Member Count: At least 20 players in the Alliance.
- Total Power: A combined minimum of 300M Power.
- Difficulty Settings: Higher difficulties mean harder enemies, but you get a massive point bonus. Clear your current difficulty to permanently unlock the next tier for the following week.
💥Phase One: Smash the Radiation Tower
As soon as the event kicks off, a Radiation Tower will spawn right next to your Alliance Gather Point. This phase is a race against the clock, and your entire team needs to focus all firepower here immediately.
- The 10-Minute Timer: You have exactly 10 minutes to take the tower down.
- Victory: Destroying the tower instantly triggers Phase Two and strips the upcoming Infected horde of their buffs.
- Defeat: If the timer runs out, Phase Two starts automatically, but the tower will grant lethal, massive buffs to the incoming monsters.
Phase Two: Hold Against the Horde
Once the tower phase ends, the Infected will start marching in waves from the nearest city straight toward player settlements.
Boss Waves and Aggro
Crucial Tip: Keep a close eye on Waves 7, 14, and 17. These are special elite boss waves. These bosses will only target players who are currently online. Make sure your active members are ready!
Winning the Defense
To successfully defend a wave, you must wipe out at least 50% of the attacking forces. If your settlement gets breached and overrun twice, you are knocked out of the targeting pool, and the Infected will stop marching toward your base.
Score Big: Defense & Reinforcement Tips
How many Alliance Store tokens you walk away with depends entirely on your final point scores. Understanding how points are split between solo and alliance pools is the key to maximizing your haul.
- Tower Points: Damaging and destroying the Radiation Tower in Phase One awards pure Alliance Defense Points.
- Defense Points: Successfully holding your base or killing Infected at any settlement awards both Solo Points and Alliance Points.
- The Zero-Health Strategy: If your base gets breached twice, do not log off! Since you won't be attacked anymore, immediately send all your remaining troops to reinforce stronger online allies.
- Action-Based Scoring: Troops must actually engage in combat at an ally's base to earn Solo Defense Points. Idle troops won't generate points.
Event Rewards and Loot Cleanup
Once the siege ends, the reward distribution is divided into four main categories based on how well your Alliance held the line:
- State Alliance Rankings: Sent straight to your in-game Mail based on leaderboard placement.
- State Solo Rankings: Individual performance rewards sent via Mail.
- Alliance Store Tokens: Distributed based on defense performance to buy crucial upgrade materials.
- Achievement Rewards: These do not automate! You must open the event interface and claim them manually after hitting specific milestone scores.
Conclusion
You've got the wave cheatsheet and the trick to keep farming points even after your base drops. Now, push your R4s to set up the right difficulty level and let’s start hoarding those Alliance Store tokens. Make sure your Alliance knows the plan, keep everybody online for those boss waves, and if you need to bulk up your squads or grab quick speedups before the horde hits, just top up safely on LDshop. Let’s secure that loot!
